Let me, if I may, set the record straight right off the bat: We have been a group for quite some time, and we share a lot of personal information -- hence, we have come to know each other as cyber-friends. For a long time, I thought I was communicating with another guy -- a guy who met his wife in high school, had kids and loved to take them on outings and camping, etc. All the while, I was being fooled. Now I know this is "cyberspace" and just about anything goes. If someone wants to be someone else, they can do so. But I DO feel that I've had the wool pulled over my eyes on this one. My dear friends. I really don't care that Jameson is a woman. I spoke to her on the phone awhile back. ( sorry jams to break your trust but the truth needs to be told. ) All of you who flame her hear this. She is a bright, thoughtful, smart woman. she has been a victim of abuse/attack and has a stalker after her. ( she has lived in fear and moved out of state due to this person) thus when it was assumed she was male ( due to her unemotional responses) she never corrected them. she then carefully picked her words to not lie but to not give away her identity. then after some idiot posted her address she was afraid wouldn't you be if somone had been stalking your family and threatening to kill you or your family. ( the people who posted her personal information never thought about the fact this wa s a real person , with a life and a family ) Because she has a professional backround and is very clear cut... she took alot of shit.. yes she was wrong to let the innocent deceiving go on. but that in itself is minimal compared to the rest of the harrassement she took back.. just for having an opinion that was different. I think you would be hard pressed to find a mean attack back from her on these threads. ( oh sure there are imitations few of us have escaped them) Next time you want to make trouble or persecute someone.. think about the fact that we are real here. some of us have a hard time in our life, sick children or spouses, financial woes etc.. have a heart. More, thanks for posting this. Don't know how you did it so I'm in awe right there but also, you did a great service to those of us who were not in- volved in that coversation. What a neat forum where you can instantly talk back and forth. It must be one of the irc things? From all the posts I've seen here regarding irc I have not been inclined to try it. Wish I had last night, tho' as I would've had things to say! Would be nice if "Jameson/jams" could come to the forum with hat in hand and be totally honest. I will say that I have been and will continue to be and expect no less from others...including Jameson who lied and misrepresented her identity and played a game while constantly flaming others. I find her actions beneath reproach and I feel decieved and wonder what someone's motivation would be to deliberately mislead, truly no defense and it was all with knowledge and forthought. I feel a sense of betrayal. And it goes beyond Jameson, it goes also to those who enabled her to lie and trick and conive. Those of you who knew are guilty too. Shame on you! Why did you know and remain silent and enable the bogus hat/sex/game/ideas/attitudes to continue? Me thinks you perhaps got a perverse pleasure yourself? Kudos to those who are honest and to the degree that you exposed Jameson for the total deception I thank you. To those who enabled her for so long it is another deception and makes me doubt your veracity as well. To those to whom jameson spoke in confidence on whatever subject..I respect you for keeping that confidence. I feel much better for that. You did me no dis-service..you have re-established my belief that there are those who stick by their word. Windsor..The above comment was not directed in anyway to you. I know that you discussed this matter with jameson before you said anything to anybody. It seems to me that when many people are told of a confidence and instructed to keep it to themselves, it ceases to be a confidence. To their credit, those whom I consider friends did not mention anything about jameson to me, even though I continually expressed reservation about him. Windsor even got on my butt one time when she thought I was out of line with a statement I made and she was right to do so. Jameson, these people had respect for you and it seems that you have no respect for them..that's the really sad part. I recently had a small health problem, and I can't tell you how much support and good wishes I got from my friends here. I suspected long ago that jameson was really a woman. Too many aspects of the story did not add up. I have heard quite a few yarns on the Internet. However, jameson constantly claimed to be telling the truth about everything. I think this has been just one big game to her. I do not think she was even that sincere about the Ramsey defense. She just took the opposite side early on and stubbornly refused to even see a possibility that the Ramseys might be guilty. It was all ego with her, and she enjoyed making others upset or angry. She was behind much of the flaming of me, early on. It is hard for me to feel sorry for jameson. When you practice deceit, it usually catches up with you. We all have a right to privacy. But jameson was and is a game player. It is seldom appreciated in real life or online. She will be back though. This is her addiction. She cannot do without it. If not this forum, some other. Hi, Personally, I am happy to say that whether or not Jameson is a man/woman/it has not affected my life one iota. No one here is perfect (although some hold themselves up to be), so if Jameson is that messed up, ignore him/her/it. Take his/her/it's posts for what value they add to the forum, or don't read them at all. It sounds like some people are personally offended because they considered Jameson a "friend" - Welcome to Cyberspace - where all things are "possible". Use this as a lesson for future such "friendships". And of course, we have that group of folks who are just waiting to pounce on someone for something, anything - whether it be simple as spelling/grammar or whether it be a more complex issue such as identity. I don't know Jameson, I've read many of his/her posts, and while they seem intelligently written, I don't agree with much he/she says. But who cares? If those of you who cannot forgive what Jameson may or may not have done, then don't respond. Why waste your time on someone you cannot agree with? I always thought jameson was a husband-and-wife partnership. I don't care whether he leaves or stays, nor do I care to believe or disbelieve the confidences on this board. The topic of this forum is the case, and would prefer to keep it that. If you wish to scream out for help, there are plenty of chat areas and newsgroups where you can find sincere people for help (if you are indeed sincere). MWOH -- I too think of this forum as solely a place to discuss the case. I do not come here to make friends or to reveal or hear "confidences." I prefer to choose my friends on a "face-to-face" basis that at least allows me a fair shot at evaluating their character because I can "look them in the eye." I am puzzled by the apparent outrage by some that jameson may not have been what he/she claimed to be. Once again, it illustrates a certain naivete about the ways of the internet. It is truly a medium where anyone can be anything or many things... This is not to condemn people who choose to build "friendships" in cyberspace. Observer, you are so right. I, too am tired of the mean flames by those twisted little souls who get their jollies that way. On the other hand, I now feel much less naive about some of my fellow human beings - if you can call them that. Still, aren't you glad you're NOT one of them? If life dealt you some brains and sensitivity, unlike those sorry bastards, you're the lucky one. Jameson dumped a whole lot of tripe on this forum and gets no sympathy from me.

I found this forum a week ago. You see, I've only had a computer for 3 weeks now. I am in my 50's and was excited to learn these dang things. I am disappointed in this forum. I too am interested in the JBR case and thought this would be newsworthy. Unfortunately, I could go to the grade school here and find more respect for others. Flaming is something I had only heard about until finding this forum. I've read where others would like those of us who visit here to make comments. Well, this will probably be my only comment. I did not come here to make friends or get into others life history (true or not). I also did not come to this forum to hear flaming about people I do not know or probably ever get to know. I have no desire to go to the archives and read about this person who has disappointed so many of you. If this is not going to be about the Ramsey case then I guess I will look elsewhere. The rest of you who are regulars can cry on each other's shoulder and flame each other to your hearts content.
