Charged with indecent exposure
|Randy Simons was a free-lance photographer who was hired to take the glamor photos of JonBenet Ramsey in June 1996 for her portfolio. Simons sold the portfolio of JonBenet photos to the New York-based agency named Sygma Photo Agency for $7,500 in January 1997.
On October 16, 1998, Simons was caught walking naked down the streets of his hometown of Genoa, Colorado nude. He had recently turned 46 years old at the time. Media reports state when the Lincoln County deputy approached Simons he volunteered, unsolicited, "I didn't kill JonBenet."
Simons was held at the Lincoln County Jail for a psychiatric evaluation then treated at University Hospital. Simons was not charged and was allowed to return home.
