Good Morning!

ANOTHER December...and we're still here... and tonight stay glued to A&E (see TV ALERTs below).

Just when you think things couldn't get any quieter...the Rams are back in the news...E&P magazine cover story (November 27th issue, not yet on the web) on the crusading Libel Lawyer Lin Wood whose customers are "those so seemingly guilty and evil that no other attorney would accept them as clients." (Compliments of New York Lawyer).

The cover of E&P with the banner headline Your Worst Nightmare, and featuring a lovely photo of Wood with the Rammers can be seen here.

The December 12th issue of the Globe bashes Mark Beckner, summary also compliments of New York Lawyer.

The BPD does have a sense of humor - coverage of the awards ceremony yesterday including nods to Barry Hartkopp and Jane Harmer.

Boulder's annual Christmas parade is tomorrow, four years ago JonBenét was a participant.

Trivia: Who is Barry Hartkopp? He was the BPD officer who interviewed Hell Hole neighbor Melanie Stanton about the scream.

TV ALERT: The Competition, "Texas Child Beauty Pageant", A&E, 7 PM MST, join the crowds at the Universal Royalty Texas State Beauty Pageant, America's biggest beauty competition for kids. Watch as little girls in $3,000 gowns compete in two age classes, 1-6 and 6-and-up, for prizes for Overall Congeniality, Overall Most Beautiful, and Grand Supreme.

TV ALERT: Investigative Reports, "JonBenét-Anatomy of an Investigation", A&E, 8 PM MST, Bill Kurtis puts the JonBenét Ramsey murder case under the microscope to discover how it was irreversibly damaged and who is really to blame for failing to bring the murderer to justice. The lead FBI agent on the murder scene talks about the mistakes that were made, and John and Patsy Ramsey answer our tough questions about why they weren't more cooperative in the investigation.

1. Pandering cover

Good Morning! Sorry I was AWOL - the server was having FTP problems....

Ouch Dan - "This is the most exciting case I've ever covered," (Dan, NBC) Abrams says. "Look, this is not an O.J. This is not a JonBenét Ramsey...."

LA Times: "...dominant images nearly always capture the disparaging sadness of human behavior...the repetitive cranking up of that lipsticked, rouged-up, blond-curled little cowgirl, JonBenét Ramsey."

Lawyers, Lawyers as pundits..."media-driven lawyers Alan Dershowitz and Gerry Spence ranging over topics from JonBenét Ramsey to Jockey shorts."

Another book review on the Donald Foster tome says he is " prohibited from talking about the ransom note in the case of murdered child JonBenét Ramsey... cases he's worked on but haven't yet come to trial."

Long but side-show tangential Westword article on the death of Allen Ginsberg and relation to Steven Miles, his under-age model Peter Hale, and the John and Patsy connection thrown in to boot...(link compliments of Lurker)

Sick Puppy?: Boulder man tries to lure child into his car - has a gold tooth, ala perp in "Home Alone".

Sick Puppy Too: Charlevoix man convicted of abducting, molesting 12-year-old mentally challenged girl.

Just Plain Sick: O.J. to be questioned by cops in road rage assault...heh.

And to clear your palette of that Simpson gem - Frank and Debi's Santa Radar project is back - tune in with a kid, you'll be glad to did.

TV ALERT: Kidnapped! Discovery Channel, 7 PM CST, 8 PM EST/PST, 9 PM MST, psyche of the kidnapper, and hear terrifying accounts from kidnapping victims, their families and the agencies who serve as hostage negotiators.

TV ALERT: New Detectives-Case Studies in Forensic Science, "Missing", Discovery Channel, 8 PM CST, 9 PM EST/PST, 10 PM MST, approximately 1.8 million Americans are reported missing each year, investigators turn to forensics to find the missing.

1. Ta ta

Good Morning!

Janphi at Justice Watch found this neat article on the current contenders for the Miss Virginia crown, with "we're not JonBenét" disclaimers.

Duh - Boulder's University Hill residents say the neighborhood is unsafe - Duh -

Bummer - Rocky's Dusty Saunders takes dismal look at the recent Simpson mini-series, says public is sick of it - of course, mentions the Schiller JonBenét mini-series last February too.

Oh no! Say it ain't so! Greta Van Susteren is getting a promotion at CNN!

Sorry I was so late this morning. Gas leaks are horrible things....

6:04 AM MST, Thur. 12/7/00 (day #1440 week #207, month #47, year #3)
1. Not Tom Koby

Good Morning!

JonBenét on his resume - Henry Lee pops up in the Ray Carruth trial - and hence, pops up in the JonBenét search engine (Carruth, lest we forget, played ball for the CU Buffaloes and graduated in Boulder in Spring of '97)...

JonBenét on his resume too - Pete Hofstom will play understudy in latest Boulder County murder trial - with mention of his "removal" from the Ramsey case - heh.

Another book review, this one focuses on the Night Before Christmas - due to the seasonal nature, Don Foster's book is getting a lot of play.

The Cybersleuths forum is back online, but limping - you can access today's threads here and/or the intro thread is here complete with Skydog's explanation on how to survive until the permanent fix.

What is the definition of "felony pimping" in Boulder? Why not dressing your 6-year-old up as a cheap tartlet?

TV ALERT: Justice Files, "Mind of a Criminal", Discovery Channel, 10 PM CST, 11 PM EST/PST, midnight MST, experts on criminal behavior shed new light on the criminal mind.
