1. No 'gifs', just send money :-)

Happy Birthday! And Congratulations to all my gentle readers for your gumption and persistence!

Steve Thomas to be deposed (involuntarily?) by the defense (Lin Wood himself) in the Chris Wolf lawsuit in Boulder next month. Would love to be a fly on the wall.

Fleet to plea - bargaining in the works to avoid jail time. Community service instead? What? Ridding Boulder of dreaded media?

An AP story on the latest turn in the bizarre Fleet White saga in both Denver Post web edition and KMGH Denver TV 7.

Altruistic Patsy? - Dunvegan dug up a dilly with this psychological study of mothers who kill, note especially they "usually find a pleasant loving woman whom neighbors view as a good parent....some event or trigger pushed her". Yep.

St. John's Episcopal Church and 10 boxes of tissue - The Alan Temple molestations are the headliner in today's 'weekend' Rocky Mountain News.

A toned down, politically correct version of the Temple story in the Boulder Daily Camera (don't scare off the tourists!) and a short form on KCNC Denver TV 4.

Where are they now? (Blast from the past) - Miss Colorado Regina Flores, who was de-crowned and then re-crowned by an unscrupulous pageant board.

HOUSEKEEPING: Today is the 4th anniversary of this page which is under construction. May not sit well with Netscape and WebTV users, be patient, I'm tweaking.

1. Woody by Dunvegan

Good Morning!

Longer AP article added to the 'weekend' edition of the Rocky on Wood's victory forcing Thomas to be deposed in the Wolf suit.

Patster buddy appears in article on the University Hill renaissance in today's Denver Post - "'A lot of the kids were embarrassed and scared about what went on last year,' said Hill resident Roxy Walker." (Methinks she has a transferal problem with who is really embarrassed and scared).

Lil ole Charleston West Virginia Daily Mail picked up the AP's Fleet White plea bargain story, among others.

Through it all, Vietnam and the Cold War, Polly Klaas and JonBenét, there was one constant - Mr. Rogers - From UWire, sweet.

Another JonBenét institution bites the dust: Dance West, famous for the attempted TeamRamsey linkage to another student who was assaulted, has closed it's doors.

I've updated the JonBenét books list, check it out to see what is selling and what's not...a fool and his money...

Something to look forward to: From AK on Cybersleuths...

"Someone told me there's a tune on the latest Rice, Rice, Hillman and Pederson album, Runnin' Wild (Rounder), called The Mystery That Won't Go Away (The Jon Benet Patricia Ramsey Song). The band is a kind of folk supergroup, with roots in the Flying Burrito Bros./Byrds. I hope their music is better than their spelling."

So if you like bluegrass...

Hang in there Netscape users! I know there are some issues with the new design, I'm working on it and will have a fix by mid-week. And after the kidlet starts school and have more time I'll set up those archive links on the right too.

1. Tartlets

Good Morning!

Pete Mang and the CBI are "belles of the ball" in fight between two Colorado cities to be their headquarters.

CU hires death penalty expert, Patster's CRIMINAL defense attorney Pat Furman hails the move.

Whodunnit: Who stuffed the newborn infant into a suitcase, over 20 years ago, only to be discovered at an estate sale? (found on CrimeNews2000).

TV ALERT: The much postponed face-off between psychic Sylvia Browne and her skeptic James Randi is promised for tonight's Larry King Live, CNN, 7 PM MDT.

7:27 AM MDT, Tue. 9/4/01 (day #1714 week #246 month #56 year #4)
1. On the road again...

Good Morning!

How Low they Have Fallen: Twitch on Justice Watch reports that the Rammers appeared on a cable access talk show Sunday night (WBN channel 36 in Augusta Georgia) to pimp their paperback and (drumroll please) and "holiday cards sold through the JonBenét Ramsey Foundation. These cards featured drawings by JonBenét".

JonBenét and Labor Day, connected: Says the union uprising stories "dominated the national consciousness as much or more than names like Condit or O.J. or JonBenét have in our own times".

Regurgitated (on tape) Lin Wood on CNN Burden of Proof yesterday, title "Defending the Indefensible", heh, transcript.

What's up with Mark Fuhrman? And when will he write "A Murder in Boulder"?

Found on Lucianne: Shocking child abuse cases in Nebraska, wink and a smile from law enforcement.

Elsewhere: Don't want to be attacked by sharks? Go vegan.

6:46 AM MDT, Wed. 9/5/01 (day #1715 week #246 month #56 year #4)
1. No bucks for Bucky?

Good Morning!

Another case character exiting stage left: Colorado Episcopal Bishop Jerry Winterrowd , who made an infamous appearance at the Rrrrammmers second, orchestrated media event, is retiring.

And another character in the nooze, Paula Woodward, aka Paula the Brown-Nosed Journalist, from KUSA Denver TV 9.

Sharks? PETA pulls ad (see bottom of yesterday's edition) in "sympathy" for victims.

Carol

7:10 AM MDT, Thurs. 9/6/01 (day #1716 week #247 month #56 year #4)
1. Crashed!

Good Morning!

Steve Ainsworth crashed! His attention was diverted? Perhaps checking his makeup and hair in the rear-view mirror? Mulling and dispondent because he's been banned from Boulder? What the ___ was he doing in Boulder anyway?

Ever wonder why? The home of the non-profit corporation "Friends for JonBenet" is located inside a wedding planner's office? Or is it a law firm?

Real Psychics: Very funny column on psychics, even mentions JonBenet, but he missed the sketchman debacle, too bad.

Real Psychics Too: Woman says she's psychic and has been "visited" by Chandra Levy.

TOMORROW: Steve Thomas contempt hearing, postponed due to resignation of process server's lawyer in July.

Carol

6:50 AM MDT, Fri. 9/7/01 (day #1717 week #247 month #56 year #4)
1. Interviews, ugh!

Good Morning!

Let's Play Softball: BabaWawa's interview with Anne Heche scored the highest numbers since her March '00 chat with the Rammers.

Boulder cops happy to have closed a 20 year old murder case but "Seagraves pleaded guilty to second-degree murder ...He was sentenced to 12 years in prison, the maximum applicable at the time of the crime."

Discount Perp: Child molester frequenting Walmarts and Target stores in Colorado caught on video tape.

And in Colorado Springs they have a "stun gun bandit" - funny write-up is full of puns.

TODAY: Continuation of Steve Thomas' contempt hearing, 8 a.m., MDT.

Carol

4:00 AM MDT, Sat. 9/8/01 (day #1718 week #247 month #56 year #4)
1. Bizarro, man

Good Morning!

Ding Dong The Spin is Dead: So WHO paid the process server and private DICK to lie about Steve Thomas? Hmmmm?

So he admitted he lied. So who is his accomplice Walter Barrett?

They're both creeps, and they're both TeamRamsey, I hope Steve sues them.

In other bizzaro JonBenét news, the code-six-wingnut, who habituates AOL has turned in an accomplice for making a confession exonerating the Rammers. Also this suspiciously terse and brief version in the Ramsey Mountain News.

Related: (Somebody call Crazy Aunt Pam) ABC has ordered an hour-long special with a psychic who contacts the dead, will focus on "famous" deceased...

Related: Two Iowa teenagers arrested and their computers seized for making threat against Columbine High School in Yahoo! chat room.

1. Too many Happy Meals?

Good Morning!

Public Opinion?: Fox News original on the "witness"...(now likely a grounded teenager)...notes Carol McKinley's contribution.

The Rocky Mountain News web edition (they don't publish a paper version on Sundays anymore as the loser in the Denver war) splashes an updated AP story as it's headliner.

The Denver Post is hiding the same story under Metro briefs.

CNN has an original version with the added tag "Boulder spokeswoman plays down significance" - yes and you should too.

The Reuters version is also very low key...

Really short story from UPI notes the AIM conversations.

Slurpee: The AP story is highly ranked on the Yahoo! Most-emailed list.

My favorite wire search, News Index, had 60 listings for this non-story-story including one in Spanish from Puerto Rico's El Nuevo Dia.

Munchies: Hey we even made Lucianne.com! They are munching it up over there, if you register you can join the fun.

Good Eye: Dunvegan found that some idyot already has the domain name bnjazzy4ever45.com registered and up for auction on Ebay. No kidding.

Also on Ebay: If you are a wingnut of the code-six variety, a psychic will tell you who murdered JonBenét (and Chandra, and Nicole, ad nauseum) for only 19.95 - such a deal!

Related: Don't cook or bathe the baby while you are surfing the internet.

1. Creative!

Good Morning!

It's good, but it's Monday and that means a no-news day. Thankfully the code-six wingnut stories have dropped to a mere 32 (from 60 yesterday).

Not a Help-me-jeezus in sight but you'll love this - on silly 911 calls. Bound to be a bestseller. Even offers an audio version. Enjoy!

Hoping for more tomorrow...

1. World Trade Center in flames!

Turn on TV or radio now! Sorry for typo's below, I'm too shaken up to think....

Really Convoluted: The Rocky Mountain News decides to regurgitate the now-old (September 8) AOL confessor story and purports that BPD went to Virginia to "study".

No, no, no: Same thing in the Boulder Daily Camera, says confession was "on a Web site where JonBenét photos are sold."

And CNN too, maybe they started this trend?

Colorado cops seeking information a photo of a child bound with duct tape. The picture can be seen here.

"Exceptionally Cleared": Nederland witch hunt on photographer accused of assaulting girls on a school field trip exonerated by Sheriff Epp.

Short, really short blurb from KCNC Denver TV 4 posted late yesterday morning.

Patsy's latest TV appearance was reportedly on FOXNews yesterday commenting on the "confession". Seeking internet confirmation.

And Betty Bowers jumps to her defense (link compliments of CensusGirl).

Boulder is open for business today, so we probably can expect the Fleet White contempt hearing (in JeffCo) to go off as scheduled tomorrow.

Frequent Geraldo and Larry King pundit Barbara Olsen is dead. One of the passengers on the Pentagon flying bomb. She was my favorite talking head.

Wouldn't you know it: A CU-Boulder prof built the World Trade Center.

And a JeffCo pilot may have been a hero yesterday, was aboard the aborted airbomb that crashed ( at 90 degree angle say witnesses) in rural Western Pennsylvania (causing me to scream over to the local H.S. to retrieve my kidlet).

Remember JonBenét?: There is some news today, but I'm not sure what it means or if I really care one way or another. Seriously, as the Patster would say, "in the grand scheme of things..."

1. Washington Post: Armed Groups Caught Boarding N.Y. Flights; U.S. Readies for War, carried knives, false identification and open tickets to U.S. destinations dated Tuesday...

BUT - Associated Press: U.S. senator says arrests not linked to attacks

Boston Globe: Planning for the attack began in 1996...

New York Times/William Safire: terrorists may have a mole in the White House "Karl Rove, the president's senior adviser, tells me: "When the president said `I don't want some tinhorn terrorists keeping me out of Washington,' the Secret Service informed him that the threat contained language that was evidence that the terrorists had knowledge of his procedures and whereabouts. In light of the specific and credible threat, it was decided to get airborne with a fighter escort."

Detroit Free Press: Questions and Answers about Arab Americans. "...For it is only with understanding that we can practice fair and accurate journalism."

FEMA: Consolidated phone number and address index for those seeking information or making donations of ANY type (money, blood, material, time).

New York Daily News: List of 'Survivors' Adds to Agony. RETRACTION - ny.com/wtclist referred in yesterday's column is pulled "The family rushed back to the armory, only to learn the crushing news from workers there that the list is filled with inaccuracies...it provides an easy opportunity for any sick and demented individual to toy with the emotions of thousands of people. When I logged on yesterday afternoon, for instance, among the hundreds listed as surviving the blast was one Elvis Presley."

Venting: This could have been the internet's finest moment and it's ruined by a bunch of idiots.

So go ahead and cry...

Dave Barry: Not funny...

1. Radical, hateful zealots

Good Morning!

You know, I was actually proud that doomed flight #93, thwarted by brave heroes, chose my state to crash into. I positively swelled when Ridge was tapped to head Homeland Security...but now we find that some cretin employed by PENNDOT took bribes to write up Haz-Mat licenses ( Penndot, for crissakes!!)...

Numbers: Frustrated by almost five years of sitting on your hands with the Ramsey case? Check out these stats on the 911 investigation so far...

352 detained or arrested...

392 individuals being sought in addition to the above...

324 search warrants issued...

103 court orders...

and 3,410 subpoenas...

Among the pithiest today...

New York Times: Terrorists exploited loopholes in US Immigration Policy...

Washington Post: German Officials tie Terrorists to bin Laden's Al Qaeda...

AFP: Key Commanders abandoning Taliban...

Wired: TV ads to air next week recruiting hackers for anti-terrorist missions...

AP: Oregon columnist canned for criticizing the President.

1. Fake? Or real?

Good Morning!

The police and courts news from the Boulder Daily Camera never ceases to amuse me..."small minds", right?...I wasted about an hour this morning figuring out that the vandal who changed the Feed Store sign brought a U, an F, a P, a Y, and not one but TWO O's with him...and took 17 letters away. Go figure. I guess this means I'm ready for SNL's premiere tomorrow night. Just call me Vanna...

Related: There's a child molesting inturder on trial in Sacramento - linked to 12 sex crimes with children (found on Cybersleuths).

Related: Cops now have a suspect in the Center City/Fort Collins serial rapes.

Related: (How would you like your crow cooked?) Rocky Mountain News, oh so shrill just a few days ago, looking for terrorists under every bush, says "nevermind" after pics released yesterday do not match Denver/Boulder metro students.

Calling it a National Town Watch, the Feds have released pictures of the nineteen hijackers, (causing me to wonder - where is the twentieth?) anyway, please take a look...

Related: Classic Chuck Green! He has come into possession of the communiqué from the Taliban to the Most Reverend Jesse Jackson - Oh, didn't you hear? Wondering where Jesse and Al Sharpton have been? Jesse may go on a peace mission to Afghanistan even though Colin and Condoleeeeeeza asked him not to. Immediately after his puffy press conference even the Taliban was so alarmed that they immediately issued a release denying that they contacted Jesse...

Enough drivel, on to the hard news....

Breaking: Arrest of terror instructor in London...

Must read - Bob Woodward's expose of the NOTE left by hijackers...this is headlining the Philadelphia Inquirer also today, "Stay Pious and Bring Knives"...

Scaremongering: Special interest groups fostering the bio/chem attack scenarios, even conjures up Bhopal (purportedly the reason why the Patster's daddy retired from Union Carbide).

Hmmm, scoff at that at your own risk.

But I was going to concentrate on the good news, and here's a neat example from today's Philadelphia Inquirer ("It was almost a primordial reaching out; a necessity to connect with someone else, anyone else.") Even last nights local news when they showed the lines at PHL, some waiting up to four hours to clear security, all the passengers were smiling and calm.

Hey, frisk me!

Carol

PS - the picture above is a hoax.

Good Morning!

HOUSEKEEPING: I have no plans to comment on the current condition of any JonBenét Ramsey forums. I have no information to do so. If I receive information I will be happy to relay it here. I am reading and responding to email.

There's no news out of Colorado today. Well, there is this (WARNING: GRAPHIC), but I don't wanna go there.

WWWIII news, most pithy (I like that word)...

New York Times - German precision at it's best.

Washington Post - If you gave blood you may be about to receive some bad news.

Reuters: The 56-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) will hold an emergency meeting early next month.

And more, cream rises to the top at both Drudge and Lucianne.

So you gave blood, donated money, hugged a friend, hung a flag - but did you register to vote? Tsk tsk.

TV ALERT: The documentary "Beneath the Veil" will be rebroadcast on CNN tomorrow at 2 and 9 PM MDT.
