2008-09-01 MON Protester:
"Why I'm here today is to say what happened to Caylee is wrong"
(www.cfnews13.com "Family Protests On Doorstep Of Caylee's Grandparents" 09/01/2008):
"A family of protesters made its way to the home of the grandparents of Caylee Anthony Monday morning. Ericka Courtney, her husband and three of their children showed up at the Anthonys' home with signs to protest what they called a lack of support for the missing 3-year-old. Courtney and her family even started banging on the front door, demanding to speak with George or Cindy Anthony. Orange County sheriff's deputies eventually arrived and cited Ericka Courtney for trespassing. "Why I'm here today is to say what happened to Caylee is wrong, and there should be more people standing in support to figure out where the child is," a tearful Ericka Courtney told News 13. "Don't support this family; don't support George and Cindy. Support Caylee, and find out where she is." Courtney told News 13 the case of Caylee Anthony hit home with her family, because she lost a daughter years ago."
2008-09-01 MON Texas EquuSearch was searching at the airport and at Moss Park and by the Amscot Financial where Casey abandon her car 06/27/08 (Nancy Grace Show "Investigators Confirm Belief Missing Florida Toddler Is Dead" 09/01/2008):
DREW PETRIMOULX, WDBO: "Well, I mean, it`s hard to say what they`re thinking inside, but I think it`s important to note the places that they are searching. Again, one of the areas they`re searching is that area out by the airport. If you remember back, there was a lot of talk about the cell phone pings from Casey`s cell phone that took place in that area around July 17, 18, a time which is an important time in this case. They also searched another place known as Moss (ph) Park, which is also close to the Anthonys` home. The third place that they searched is also important because it was near the Amscot where Casey actually abandoned her car, and it was found, of course, with this evidence inside of it."
2008-09-01 MON Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch said his group searches where LE gives them direction to search.
Miller believes it's on cell tower pings.
(Nancy Grace Show "Investigators Confirm Belief Missing Florida Toddler Is Dead" 09/01/2008):
NANCY GRACE (HOST): Tim, why did you pick these specific areas to search? What evidence do you have? What do you know that led you to these places to search? TIM MILLER: "I didn`t pick these three areas. These are areas that law enforcement wanted us to search. These are areas they want us to search thoroughly. They want us to search them two or three times. And they want these areas cleared before we move on to other areas. And these are huge areas. And. NANCY GRACE: Tell me in a nutshell, Tim, where the areas were police wanted you to search? TIM MILLER: "I think it`s probably been made public that these are areas where cell phone activity was going off the towers."
2008-09-01 MON More bones found on Monday on Lee Vista Blvd that were marked for investigators. (www.local6.com "Bones Found In Baby Blanket During Caylee Search Belonged To Dog" 09/01/2008):
"Bones found wrapped in a baby's blanket over the weekend during a search for missing Caylee Anthony belonged to a dog. Volunteer searchers scoured remote areas and swamps in Central Florida searching for missing Caylee Anthony, 3, over the weekend and on Monday. Searchers thought they had a break in the case when bones were found near the Anthony's Orange County home Sunday. However, it was determined that someone had wrapped a dead dog in a baby blanket. During Monday's search, several other piles of bones were found on Lee Vista Boulevard. "It looks like a spine or backbone," searcher Martin Krasinsqui said. The new bones were marked for investigators."
2008-09-02 TUES Texas EquuSearch spent Tuesday morning searching off of International Corporate Park Boulevard in East Orange County. Members of Texas EquuSearch said they will go home and come back once the water has receeded. (www.wesh.com "Anthony Immunity Deal Expires; Search Continues" 09/02/2008):
"Once Texas EquuSearch is invited onto a case, we search, especially when we're working with law enforcement, until all leads are exhausted. If we do not find something within those parameters, we go home, we regroup and come back when more leads have bubbled up," Mandy Albritton said. Representatives of EquuSearch spent Tuesday morning searching off of International Corporate Park Boulevard in East Orange County. Searches looked mostly on foot, but some ATVs were also used to get through thick brush in wooded areas."
"Rainfall has also made some locations unreachable. "Typically to find someone, you need to replicated the conditions that existed when they went missing, and certainly we don't have the conditions on the ground that we did back in June," Albritton said. The volunteers worked 1 to 2-hour rotations while searching the 25-square miles associated with leads in the investigation, always keeping safety a priority. Members of Texas EquuSearch said they will go home and come back once the water has receeded.”
2008-09-02 TUES Casey Anthony turns down immunity offer deal (www.cfnews13.com "Casey Refuses Immunity Offer" 09/02/2008):
"News 13 has learned from Casey Anthony's attorneys that she has turned down an offer of limited immunity. State prosecutors offered Casey the deal in exchange for information leading to Anthony's missing 3-year-old daughter, Caylee. The offer was set to expire at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Currently, nobody -- including her lawyer -- is scheduled to visit Casey Anthony in jail on Tuesday."
2008-09-02 TUES Cindy Anthony on NBC Today Show, says Casey is only guilty of poor judgment and lying (www.msnbc.msn.com "Missing tot’s grandmother clings to hope she’s alive" 09/02/2008):
"Even as evidence mounts that Florida toddler Caylee Anthony is dead, her grandmother insisted Tuesday that the 3-year-old is alive and that the child’s mother is only guilty of poor judgment and lying. “I believe Caylee is with someone that [her mother] Casey had trusted,” Cindy Anthony told TODAY co-host Matt Lauer on Tuesday. “And I believe that Casey has been, you know, betrayed. “It’s unfortunate that it’s going to take the average citizen to bring Caylee back home to me alive, and not the authorities.”
CINDY: “My reaction is that John Allen is speaking out of context,” Cindy Anthony told Lauer. “I believe that because I’m still getting phone calls of people who have seen Caylee and they’re frustrated because the authorities aren’t investigating.” - “I’m getting phone calls from people saying why they’re not out looking in the woods —because they don’t believe Caylee is out there,” Cindy Anthony said. “They believe Caylee is alive and Caylee is with somebody, so that’s my reassurance.”

PRESS RELEASE:
September 4, 2008

"Press Corps Media has been retained by The Baez Law Firm to coordinate any and all media inquiries."
"Mr. Baez, nor Ms. Anthony will work with Mr. Padilla on her case ever again."
(Press Corps Media Press Release 09/04/2008): Email: Presscorpsmedia@aol.com, Immediate Release
Caylee Anthony — Missing Child
"It has come to the attention of the Baez Law Firm that bounty hunter Leonard Padilla is claiming the possibility of reinstating a bond he previously withdrew. Though Jose Baez and his client, Casey Anthony appreciated what Mr. Padilla initially did, his later unjustified retreat has clearly demonstrated that he cannot be trusted, and Mr. Baez, nor Ms. Anthony will work with Mr. Padilla on her case ever again. Mr. Padilla is simply milking media time under the pretense of re-posting a bond, which offer is rejected"
"Press Corps Media has been retained by The Baez Law Firm to coordinate any and all media inquiries, allowing Mr, Baez and his staff to attend to the more vital matters of defending Ms. Anthony. Casey Anthony is being bailed out of jail. The individual posting the bond prefers to remain anonymous, and is doing it because of the belief that Ms. Anthony’s constitutional rights have been grossly violated. Mr. Baez will have NO COMMENT about the bond and will respect the privacy of the anonymous party. Please only contact: Todd Black, Press Corps Media (615) 254-1400"

2008-09-05 FRI The release also said neither Baez nor Casey Anthony will be working again with bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, who originally posted Casey's bond (www.baynews9.com "Casey Anthony released from jail for the second time" 09/05/2008):
"ORLANDO -- Casey Anthony was released from jail Friday after an anonymous person has put up the $50,000 cash to post Casey Anthony's original bond on felony child neglect charges. Two bond agencies in Kissimmee will work together to post the entire $500,000 amount. Casey also made bond on the new check fraud and theft charges that were filed against her Wednesday by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The MacDonald Bail Bonds agency posted the $2,700 bond late Wednesday. Therefore, Anthony did not have to appear in court Thursday morning."
2008-09-05 FRI Anonymous donor?
Todd Black, PR for Jose Baez stated the bond was posted by a SINGLE ANONYMOUS DONOR.
"An NBC News spokesperson disputes the claim, saying, "NBC did not make any bid to license the footage." A CBS News spokesperson tells TVNewser, "We did not bid for the video."
(www.mediabistro.com "Casey Anthony: More Questions, Few Answers" 09/10/2008):
"Earlier today TVNewser got a tip that a news organization had posted the $500,000 bond to get Casey Anthony out of jail. Todd Black, EVP of Press Corps Media, who is handling press requests for Anthony's lawyer Jose Baez, reiterated to TVNewser that the bond was posted by a single anonymous donor. He said it is, "absolutely a bald-faced lie if anybody is saying," a network paid for the bond. "That party wants to remain anonymous," said Black."
"TVNewser reached out to the broadcast and cable networks today and all denied posting the bond.”
"Still, much of the focus turned to ABC News. The network aired exclusive home video footage of the Anthony family on GMA Friday morning and on 20/20 Friday night. The Orlando Sentinel's Hal Boedecker was first to report, "ABC News did not pay for interviews or the home video...but ABC News told me that it did license the home videos and photographs." An ABC News insider tells TVNewser the network paid $200,000 to license "several hours worth of home videos." The insider also says NBC was involved in a bidding war for the footage. A second source inside ABC tells TVNewser all three broadcast networks bid on the material which was eventually licensed to ABC." An ABC News spokesperson would only tell TVNewser the network licensed the footage from "rights holders," and did not specify if they went through the family or the family's attorneys."
"This whole idea of a TV network posting Casey Anthony's bond was first brought up Friday night [09/05/2008] on The O'Reilly Factor, with Geraldo Rivera telling Bill O'Reilly, "Not ours, but it could be a network." O'Reilly responded, "If that's true, we're going to have a field day."
Another network TV insider tells us Baez attempted to "sell an interview" with Casey Anthony last week. We're told he'd been asking $500,000. Todd Black, the publicist, says Casey Anthony, now free from jail for five days, does not have any interviews at the "immediate time."

"Several fights and acts of violence erupted outside the home of Casey Anthony late Friday hours after she was released from jail and return to the neighborhood. "(Casey Anthony) killed that baby, and she is a criminal," a crowd chanted after the 22-year-old mother of missing Caylee, 3, walked out of the Orange County Jail. Officers responded to the Anthony family's Orange County home after people began to rip signs and throw punches at each other. A man was seen being struck in the face by another man outside the Anthony home. "You are all big and bad to kill a baby, but you can't come out and face us," a protester yelled when police arrived. "You people hold signs that mean nothing, and you know nothing about," another person in the crowd yelled."
2008-09-05 FRI "A life-sized baby doll held by one of the men in the crowd had a sign that read, "Hi, I'm Caylee. Have you seen my mommy?" ("Life-Sized 'Caylee Doll,' 'Baby Killer' Signs Waved Outside Anthony Home" 09/06/2008):
"An angry crowd of people waving life-sized "Caylee dolls" and "baby-killer" signs remained outside of Casey Anthony's home a day after she was released from jail. A life-sized baby doll held by one of the men in the crowd had a sign that read, "Hi, I'm Caylee. Have you seen my mommy?" "Tell the truth," Greg May said as he held the doll. "Tell the truth. The truth will set you free. I don't see how those people sleep at night." On Friday, several fights and acts of violence erupted outside the home."

"Also Saturday, a group of hundreds of people continued to search Central Florida for Caylee. Some of the searchers traveled from Wisconsin and Pennsylvania to join the EquuSearch effort. The latest search location was based on Casey Anthony's cell phone records in Blanchard Park, Local 6 has learned. "Out of respect for Caylee, we are here to bring her back and put her to rest in a proper place," a searcher said. People who have volunteered to search for Caylee were taught the difference between human and animal bones. "We gave a bunch of the team leaders a book on all the bones in the human body because we are going to find a lot of animal bones out there," Equusearch director Tim Miller said."
2008-09-06 SAT Two familes abandon vacation plans to instead visit Casey Anthony's house and take pictures.
Somebody yelled: "You are going to burn in hell, Cindy"
("Tourists Travel To See, Photograph Missing Caylee Anthony's Mom" 09/06/2008):
"Florida tourists and other families are traveling to the home of Casey Anthony for a chance to see and possibly photograph the woman and chaos in her neighborhood. The vacationing Parry family abandoned their vacation plans over the weekend, grabbed a camera and traveled to the home of Caylee Anthony's mother and family in Orange County. "This is our last day before we go back (to Missouri) and we just had to see it for ourselves," Florida vacationer Tony Parry said. Another family from Christmas, Fla., with eight children was seen posing for photographs in front of the Anthony home Saturday night. "There has to be closure somehow, this will never end," a woman said late Saturday. When Casey Anthony's mother, Cindy, stepped outside of the house Saturday, a man yelled, "You are going to burn in hell, Cindy" and others insulted her. Saturday night there were about 100 people standing outside the home watching her."

He said standing water from Tropical Storm Fay is making it impossible to search thoroughly." - ""The conditions just aren't there," he said. "It was like, 'My God, lets have the water dry up' because it's impossible to complete these areas." Miller said the kind of heavy-duty vehicles it takes to search waterlogged areas could damage Caylee's remains if they're buried. "We're not going to give up folks," Miller said."

"The woman, identified only as Lorraine, took the largest bag of trash outside George and Cindy Anthony's house and told Local 6 News that she can't believe no one's been digging through the trash in the search for Caylee, who was last seen in mid-June. "If (Casey's) on the computer 24 hours a day, maybe she printed stuff, maybe they threw it away and didn't shred it," Lorraine said."
"Lorraine put the trash bag it into the back of her sport utility vehicle before rummaging through it. Inside the trash bag was food, a hat Lorraine said she saw Casey Anthony wearing earlier, notes written by Casey Anthony or her brother, Lee Anthony, and letters from all over the county. "I think these computer printouts shows that they are paying attention to what other people are saying on the Web, and they are printing, so they're reading what other people think about them. And other people are speculating about where Caylee's body is," Lorraine said. Lorraine said she may return later and go through the other trash bags."

2008-09-11 THUR Protester claims Lee Anthony almost hit her as he arrived at his parents home to park in the driveway (www.wesh.com "Confrontation Erupts Between Lee Anthony, Protestors" 09/11/2008):
"When Lee Anthony arrived at his parents' house to the usual group of protesters, one woman claimed that he almost clipped her and she spun around as he pulled into the driveway." - ""Because I had the baby in my hands. He was right next to me and he didn't even stop. Of course I hit the car to make him stop because there's a baby. What is he going to do run us over?" protester Stephanie Phillips said."
2008-09-11 THUR Chickasaw Oaks neighbors want peace and limit activities of protesters. "George and Cindy Anthony have confronted many angry protestors by yelling at them, pushing them away from the sidewalk" (www.orlandosentinel.com "Anthony neighbors seek to limit protesters" 09/11/2008):
"Residents in the Chickasaw Oaks subdivision -- the east Orange County neighborhood of George and Cindy Anthony - are seeking to limit the activities of the dozens of protesters who gather daily in their neighborhood. An attorney for the Chickasaw Oaks Phase 3 home owners association said she plans to file an injunction Friday or early next week that would limit the hours and location of the protests. "We do not care if the content supports or criticizes the Anthonys," attorney Karen Wonsetler said. "What we hope to accomplish is to restrict the time, place and manner of the protest to reasonable activities and hours."
"Protesters have been gathering outside the Anthony's Hopespring Drive home since Aug. 29 -- the second time deputies arrested Casey Anthony, the mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee Marie. Dozens have gathered outside the home day and night, expressing their support or criticism of the Anthonys. George and Cindy Anthony have confronted many angry protestors by yelling at them, pushing them away from the sidewalk, as well as tossing out their lawn chairs. Their son Lee Anthony grabbed a sign from one protester and tossed in the garbage."

2008-09-15 MON "Department of Children and Family services said they were investigating the incident after several viewers called the DCF tipline. DCF indentified the boy as a ‘protesters child’." (www.myfoxorlando.com "Casey Back in Jail: DCF Investigates Confrontation" 09/15/2008):
"The unidentified woman who was screaming at Anthony can be seen being pushed back into the SUV she got out of by a man. As she was a small boy can be seen having the back door of the SUV partially shut on his arm. The boy fell to the ground holding his arm and crying out in pain. Earlier in the incident the boy had joined the woman, believed to be his mom, in shouting at Cindy Anthony."
"On Monday afternoon, the Department of Children and Family services said they were investigating the incident after several viewers called the DCF tipline. DCF indentified the boy as a ‘protesters child’. In the statement DCF said the video captures a young child shouting inflammatory and confrontational statements with his mother at an adult resident of the home. “Based on reported information,” the statement said. “The Department identified the family and is taking all appropriate investigative steps to assess the child’s injuries and the circumstances surrounding the situation.”
