He said the mysterious stranger was also at St. John's Church during the Christmas pageant just before the murder and whispered to him, "Don't you just want to strangle her?" We checked out everyone he named, then even searched his apartment to make sure he wasn't the murderer. Gosage and I probably spent about two hundred man-hours chasing the alleyway boogie-man, and it came to nothing."
