[Abraham Shakespeare]Abraham Shakespeare MURDERED - Plant City, Florida (Hillsborough Co.) April 2009
Abraham Shakespeare (42) won $31 million dollars in the Florida Lottery in 2006. He took a lump sum payout of approximately $17 million. He remained a frugal person as he had before his lottery windfall, but after numerous failed real estate transactions, loans, and friendships Abraham has suddenly gone missing. He was last seen in the Lakeland area in April 2009. Dorice Emma Donegan Moore (AKA Dee Dee Moore) stated in the media that she bought out Abraham's debts to enable him to move away to escape paying child support arrears for a second child that was born after the lottery windfall. Law Enforcement believes there may be more to this story. Abraham Shakespeare's body was found on January 28, 2010 buried beneath a cement slab on the rear property of Shar Krasniqi located at 5802 S.R.60 East, Plant City, Florida 33567. Shar Krasniqi was the boyfriend of Dorice Emma Donegan Moore (AKA Dee Dee Moore). On February 2, 2010 Dee Dee Moore was arrested, first charged with Accessory after the fact and later with First Degree Murder of Abraham Shakespeare.

Narrative:


Reference is made to all prior supplemental reports written to this investigation.

January 24, 2010

1200 Hours:

I received a telephone call from Mr. Smith who advised that he had spoken to Ms. Moore. Mr. Smith advised that Ms. Moore had called his cellular telephone numerous times and that he finally answered the telephone. Mr. Smith advised that he told Ms. Moore that he was busy and would not be able to meet her. Mr. Smith advised that Ms. Moore was extremely anxious to meet him. Mr. Smith advised that he told Ms. Moore that if he got done with what he was doing, he would call her and arrange a meeting.

??10 Hours:

I contacted Sergeant Ken Raczynski and advised him of my conversation with Mr. Smith. Sergeant Raczynski advised me to call Mr. Smith and direct him not to answer any further calls from Ms. Moore and that we would contact Ms. Moore on Monday (01/25/10).

I then contacted Mr. Smith and advised him of the directions from Sergeant Raczynski.

I then monitored Ms. Moore's vehicle movement sporadically throughout the day. Ms. Moore appeared to go to at least two (2) Sam's Clubs during the day, one (1) in North Lakeland and the other in Brandon, Florida. Ms. Moore also went to the two (2) residences (5732 and 5802) on Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida.

1800 Hours:

I received a telephone call from Lieutenant James Rudd who advised me to contact Mr. Smith and have him try to contact Ms. Moore. Lieutenant Rudd advised that if Mr. Smith could make contact with Ms. Moore to have him arrange a meeting with her

I then contacted Mr. Smith and advised him to try and make contact with Ms. Moore and arrange a meeting. I advised Mr. Smith if he would make contact with her before 1900 hours to set up the meeting; otherwise we would wait until Monday (01/25/10) to arrange a meeting with her.

January 25, 2010

0630 Hours:

I received a telephone call from Mr. Smith who advised that he had just spoken with Ms. Moore. Mr. Smith advised that Ms. Moore seemed extremely anxious and wanted to meet with her. I advised Mr. Smith to contact Ms. Moore and tell her that he would meet her, but that it would be a little while before he could meet her.

I again spoke with Mr. Smith who advised that Ms. Moore wanted to meet him at the International House of Pancakes on Highway 98 North in Lakeland, Florida. I advised Mr. Smith that I need to meet with him prior to meeting with Ms. Moore and for him to contact her and tell her that he was running a little late. I further advised Mr. Smith to attempt to make the meeting in paring lot somewhere due to it being hard to audio record the meeting in a restaurant.

0800 Hours:

I received a telephone call from Mr. Smith who advised that Ms. Moore has agreed to meet him in the parking lot of the Lakeland Mall. Mr. Smith advised that he told Mrs. Moore that he was dropping his child off at school and that he would meet her after that.

0815 Hours:

I met with Mr. Smith at a pre-arranged location. I then searched Mr. Smith and his vehicle for any contraband, in particular any firearms due to the chance that Ms. Moore would be providing him with the firearm she had previously mentioned. The search was conducted with negative results. I then provided Mr. Smith with a digital audio recorder to record the meeting.

0842 Hours:

Mr. Smith then drove to the parking lot of the Lakeland Mall and met with Ms. Moore in his vehicle. The meeting lasted until approximately 0906 hours. After the meeting Mr. Smith left the area and drove directly to a pre-arranged location to meet with me.

0912 Hours:

Upon arrival at the pre-arranged location, I made contact with Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith advised that he did not receive anything from Ms. Moore at this time. I then conducted another search or Mr. Smith's person and vehicle for contraband with negative results. Mr. Smith then provide me with the digital audio recorder I had given him. I then interviewed Mr. Smith and learned the following: He advised that Ms. Moore had told him that she was going to get the firearm that she advised was used to kill Mr. Shakespeare. He advised that Ms. Moore wanted to meet him again at approximately 1200 hours in Plant City, Florida, where she was going to give him the firearm.

0930 Hours:

I contacted Sergeant Frank Losat of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and advised him of the situation. I had previously briefed Sergeant Losat on 01/22/2010, of the investigation and the possibility that the investigation may lead in to Hillsborough County. Sergeant Losat advised to go ahead with the meeting between Mr. Smith and Ms. Moore and that he and some detectives would be enroute to meet with us.

1118 Hours.

I received a telephone call from Mr. Smith who told me that he had received a text message from Ms. Moore advising him to meet her in aproximately thirty (30) minutes.

1145 Hours:

Lieutenant Jamie Rudd and I met with Mr. Smith in the parking lot of the Plant City Police Department. I again searched Mr. Smith's person and vehicle for contraband with negative results. I then provided Mr. Smith with a digital audio recorder to record the meeting.

1155 Hours:

Mr. Smith received a telephone call from Ms. Moore who advised him to meet her at the Convenience Store located at the corner of Turkey Creek Road and Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida.

I then followed Mr. Smith the Convenient Store located on the southwest corner of Highway 60 and Turkey Creek Road in Plant City, Florida.

??06 Hours:

Mr. Smith arrived at the Convenience Store, and made contact with Ms. Moore. The meeting lasted until aproximately 1241 hours. I then followed Mr. Smith as he left the area to drive to a pre-arranged location to meet with me.

1300 Hours:

I met with Mr. Smith at a Convenience Store located on Highway 60 and County Line Road in Mulberry, Florida. Upon arrival, Mr. Smith walked over to me and gave me a Smith and Wesson .38 Caliber Revolver that he was holding in his shirt. Mr. Smith advised that this was the firearm provided to him by Ms. Moore. Mr. Smith futher advised that he had not touched the firearm and that Ms. Moore had place it in his lap.

I then conducted a search of Mr. Smith's person and vehicle for any further contraband with negative results. Mr. Smith then provide me with the digital audio reorder I had previouisly given him. I then interviewed Mr. Smith and learned the following: He advised that Ms. Moore had pulled the firemarm from her pants pocket and placed it in his lap. He advised that he had not touched the firemarm with his bare hands and that it had only touched his shirt. He advised that Ms. Moore wanted to meet him again in a couple of hours and that she was suppose to take him and show him the spot on her property where Mr. Shakespeare's body was buried.

I maintained control of the firearm and later placed the firearm in to the property evidence section of the Polk County Sheriff's Office as Item #4132.

While debriefing Mr. Smith, Sergeant Losat and several members of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Homicide unit arrived at the scene. Hillsborough County was then briefed about the meeting and the meeting to come.

1500 Hours:

Mr. Smith met with me again at the Convenience Store located at Highway 60 and County Line Road in Mulberry, Florida. I again searched Mr. Smith's person and vehicle for any contraband with negative results. I the providing Mr. Smith with a digital audio recorder to record the meeting.

I then followed Mr. Smith to Turkey Creek Road and Highway 60 Plant City, Florida to meet Ms. Moore.

1544 Hours:

Mr. Smith arrived a the Convenience Store and pulled in to the east side of the parking lot. Ms. Moore was not present at this time.

1600 Hours:

Ms. Moore arrived at the Convenience Store. Ms. Moore was driving her truck and at this time was pulling a trailered boat behind the truck. I then observed Mr. Smith exit his vehicle and get in to Ms. Moore's vehicle. Ms. Moore then pulled out southbound on Turkey Creek Road.

1607 Hours:

Ms. Moore and Mr. Smith are observed arriving at the residence located at 5802 Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida.

1635 Hours:

Ms. Moore and Mr. Smith are observed leaving the residence located at 5802 Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida.

1637 Hours:

Ms. Moore is observed pulling in to the East Side of the Convenience Store parking lot. Ms. Moore stays parked there talking to Mr. Smith for several minutes.

1659 Hours:

Both Mr. Smith and Ms. Moore's vehicles are observed leaving the parking lot. I then followed Mr. Smith to the Convenience Store located at County Line Road and Highway 60 in Mulberry, Florida.

Upon arrival, Mr. Smith provided me with the digital audio recorder that was used to record the meeting. Mr. Smith was then interviewed where we learned the following: He advised that Ms. Moore took him to a two (2) story residence on Highway 60. He advised that Ms. Moore had a trailer pulled up blocking the view of a large cement pad from the roadway. Mr. Smith advised that inside of the trailer was equipment needed to retrieve the body of Mr. Shakespeare. He advised that Ms. Moore walked him over to the cement pad and told him that Mr. Shakespeare was buried 6 feet below the pad. He advised that Ms. Moore placed a small piece of angle iron over a spot and advised that Mr. Shakespeare's body was 6 feet below that spot. He advised that Ms. Moore told him that the lady living next door to the residence was going to be going to her (Moore's) house for the evening and that he (Smith) should be clear to dig up the body after 1930 hours. He advised that Ms. Moore told him that Mr. Shakespeare was killed in the single story residence next door during a drug deal gone bad.

Mr. Smith also provided me with a spiral notebook that he advised Ms. Moore had drawn a small picture of where Mr. Shakespeare's body was buried under the concrete slab. The spiral notebook was later placed in to the property evidence section of the Polk County Sheriff's Office as Item #6046.

1830:

After debriefing Mr. Smith it was determined that Detective Greg Thomas of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and I would obtrain a search warrant for the two (2) residences (5732 and 5802) on Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida. The remainder of the tour of duty that day was obtaining search warrants for the two (2) properties.

January 26, 2010

0800 Hours:

I responded to the residence located at 5802 Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida. The sight of one (1) of the two (2) search warrants being served in reference to this investigation. It was deterimined during a briefing that I would be assisting Detective Greg Thomas with interviews that needed to be conducted throughout the day.

0905 Hours:

Detective Greg Thomas and I met with and interviews John Cassell at the search warrant location. During the interview we learned the following: He advised hat he has lived next door (5606) for approximately fifteen (15) years. He advised that he does not know either Dee Dee Moore or Howard Stitzel. He advised that he did know the previous owners the Lands. He advised that he has observed a yellow Hummer at the property recently. He advised that he has not heard any stange things at the residence. He advised that he is not sure if there has been any heavy equipment at the residence. He advised that he does remember the paint ball field being cleared. He advised that his daughter has spoken to the blonde lady who owns the residence previously. He advised that he has never seen a black male on the property. He advised that he has seen a Mexican male working on the yard at the residence.

1118 Hours:

Detective Greg Thomas and I responded to the Law Office of D. Howard Stitzel's Attorney

located at 137 S. Parsons Avenue in Brandon, Florida, in reference to interviewing Mr. Stitzel. During the interview we learned the following: He advised that the last time that he physically saw Mr. Shakespeare was around April of 2009. He advised that he thought that it was Mr. Shakespeare that he spoke to on the telephone in October of 2009. He advised that he thinks the last time that he saw Mr. Shakespeare was in his old office located at 607 South Alexander Street in Plant City. He advised that he moved his office to the residence located at 5732 Highway 60 in Plant City, on a temporary basis while the residence at 5802 was being renovated. He advised that while he was in 5732, Patricia Krasniqi moved in. He advised that he moved his office in to 5802 sometime around the middle of June 2009. He advised that he met Ms. Moore through a referral from a Shannon Gunn. He advised that he does not know if all the work that he did for Ms. Moore were related to Mr. Shakespeare or not. He advised that Ms. Moore told him that she was writing a book about Mr. Shakespeare and possibly trying to get a reality television show about Mr. Shakespeare. He advised that some of the paperwork that he did for Ms. Moore and Mr. Shakespeare was actually signed in front of him and some was not. He advised that he never got any consideration (payment) for any of the deals that he wrote up. He advised that he never consulted either Ms. Moore or Mr. Shakespeare on any of the deals only prepared the paperwork how they wanted it. He advised that he has been digging in the backyard of 5802 on the backhoe previously. He advised that he draft the Power of Attorney to Judy Haggins. He advised that he did this at the request of Ms. Moore who advised that Mr. Shakespeare wanted this done because he was going underground and wanted someone to take care of things.

1413 Hours:

Detective Greg Thomas and I met with and interviewed Richard Land at the search warrant scene. For details of the interview see Detective Thomas' report and audio recording of interview.

1436 Hours:

Detective Thomas and I responded to 1418 West Lake Parker Drive in Lakeland, Florida, in reference to interviewing Cedric E. Edom. Upon arrival, we met and interviewed Mr. Edom learning the following: He advised that Ms. Moore wanted him to tell the police that he had observed Mr. Shakespeare attack her and choke her. He further advised that Ms. Moore wanted him to say that he observed Mr. Shakespeare wrapping her in a blanket and was going to through her in a lake. He advised that he has been taping all of his conversations with Ms. Moore.

Mr. Edom then turned over the digital recorder with the recordings of his conversations with Ms. Moore. The digital recordings were downloaded and put on a compact disc that was placed in to the property evidence section of the Polk County Sheriff's office as Item #6034. I also reviewed the recordings. In all of the recordings Ms. Moore can be heard telling Mr. Edom all of the various stories about mr. Shakespeare being away on his own free will and not wanting to be bothered by anyone. All of the stories were stories that she provided to Law Enforcement during the investigation. The actual digital records was later placed in to the property evidence section of the Polk County Sheriff's Office as Item #4130.

Mr. Edom also provided me with his cellular telephone. He advised that there were several text messages on the telephone that he received from Mr. Shakespeare's telephone. Mr. Edom's telephone was placed in to the property evidence section of the Polk County Sheriff's Office as Item #4129.

As we were completing the interview, as we were leaving Mr. Edom handed me a paper that stated affidavit of Cedric Edom. Mr. Edom advised that Ms. Moore tried to get him to sign this paper a couple of weeks ago. The affidavit stated that approximately one (1) week after making the missing report of Mr. Shakespeare, that Mr. Shakespeare had come to his house and advised him (Edom) why he (Shakespeare) had left. Mr. Edom advised that he did not sign the affidavit and kept it. I later plaed the "affidavit" provided by Mr. Edom in to the property evidence section of the Polk conty Sheriff's Office as Item #6047.

January 27, 2010

1440 Hours:

Detective Greg Thomas and I responded to the Law Offices of Larry Hardaway in Lakeland, Florida, in reference to interviewing Judy Haggins. During the interview we learned the following: She advised that she received a telephone call from Ms. Moore at approximately 0315 hours on 01/26/2010. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that she had something to tell her. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that drug dealers had done it and made her say the things she said. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that Mr. Shakespeare was dead. She advised that Ms. Moore said "They did it, they killed him". She advised that Ms. Moore said they were out to her (Moore's) place. She advised that Ms. Moore never said what place. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that it was her (Moore), Mr. Shakespeare, Cedric Edom and "Ron" the drug dealer. She advised Ms. Moore told her that they wanted $200.00.00. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that they took all of the money out of her (Moore's) safe. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that Mr. Shakespeare put a gun to her head. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that she (Moore) blacked out. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that she (Moore) was coming in and out of it and saw them shoot Mr. Shakespeare. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that the drug dealer told her not to say anything or they would kill her (Moore's) son. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that she could not tell her where the body was right then and told her (Haggins) not to tell anyone. She advised that Ms. Moore kept telling her that "Ron" the drug dealer was the one that shot Mr. Shakespeare. She advised the telephone call lasted approximately 45 minutes. She advised that Ms. Moore told her that Mr. Shakespeare has been dead since April. She advised that on a previous occasion Ms. Moore told her that Mr. Shakespeare and "Ronald" had come to get Mr. Shakespeare's stuff late one night.

??35 Hours:

Detective Thomas and I had respondd back to the scene of the two (2) search warrants. While there Gregory Massey had responded to the scene. Detective Thomas and I then interviewed Mr. Massey at the scene. Detective Thomas recorded the interview. For details of the interview see Detective Thomas' report and refer to audio of the interview.

1918 Hours:

Detective Thomas and I responded to the residence of James Moore on South Forbes Road in Plant City, Florida. We made contact with Mr. Moore and asked if he would respond to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Faulkenburg Road to be interviewed. Mr. Moore agreed.

1940 Hours:

Detective Thomas and I interviewed James Moore at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Faulkenburg Road in Brandon, Florida. The interview was recorded on DVD. For details of the interview refer to the DVD of the interview and transcripts.

January 28, 2010

My tour of duty was conducted in assisting with the two (2) search Warrants at 5732 and 5802 Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida.

January 29, 2010

1600 Hours:

Dee Dee Moore responded to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Faulkenburg Road in Brandon, Florida. Prior to the interview it was made clear with Ms. Moore her rights according to Miranda. Ms. Moore advised that she understood her rights and wanted to speak to us.

The interview was conducted by Detective Greg Thomas and Myself. The interview was recorded on DVD. During the Interview Ms. Moore continue with explanations of who had

killed Mr. Shakespeare. Ms. Moore provided several differnt versions of what and who had killed Mr. Shakespeare. The only consistant part of the versions of events that took place were that Ms. Moore was present and that it was Ms. Moore's firearm that was used to shoot Mr. Shakespeare.

At the conclusion of the interview, Ms. Moore advised that she wanted to speak to her attorney and then tell us the truth. The interview was then concluded.

A short time later, I received a telephone call from Ms. Moore advising that she wanted to respond back to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and tell us the truth. I advised Ms. Moore that she had invoked her rights to speak to her attorney. Ms. Moore advise that she wanted to talk to us and tell us the truth. I advised Ms. Moore to take the evening and think about things and if she still wanted to speak to us, to contact me the following day to be interviewed again.

January 30, 2010

1200 Hours:

I received a telephone call from Ms. Moore advising that she wanted to respond back to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and tell the truth this time. I advised Ms. Moore that Detective Thomas and I would be there to speak to her. Ms. Moore advised that she would be at the office shortly.

1330 Hours:

Ms. Moore arrived at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office to be interviewed. Prior to the interview, Detective Thomas again advised Ms. Moore of her rights according to miranda and had her sign a miranda waiver.

He then interviewed Ms. Moore again. This interview was also recorded on DVD. During this interview Ms. Moore again blamed Mr. Shakespeare's killong on several different subjects. During the interview Ms. Moore again advised that she wanted to speak to an attorney. The interview was concluded at this point.

January 31, 2010

0930 Hours:

I was contacted by Sergeant Ken Raczynski and advised to make contact with a Karon Sharp at telephone number (863) 877-7595. Sergeant Raczynski advised that Ms. Sharp had information about the investigation.

0948 Hours:

I made contact with Ms. Sharp via telephone. She advised that she was a repossession agent. She advised that she was contacted by Attorney Howard Stitzel and Ms. Moore in June about repossessing some vehicles. She advised that she had some paperwork that she wanted to turn over to me about the repossessions.

1000 Hours:

I contacted Sergeant Raczynski who advised me to meet with Ms. Sharp and obtain the paperwork.

1220 Hours:

Karon Sharp responded to the Bureau of Criminal Investigations to be interviewed. During the interview I learned the following. She advised that she was contacted initially by Mr. Stitzel toward the end of May 2009. She advised that she remembers talking to a male and female. She advised the female told her that Mr. Shakespeare had lent some money to people for vehicles and the people had failed to repay Mr. Shakespeare. She advised the female told her that Mr. Shakespeare wanted the vehicles repossessed. She advised that she was recontacted by Howard Stitzel about what was needed. She advised that she received

numerous calls after that from a female purporting to be Judy Haggins, the subject with Power of Attorney for Mr. Shakespeare. She advised that from the sound of the voice she believed that Judy Haggins was a white female. She advised that the female talked about Mr. Shakespeare being out of the country and wanting her (female) to take care of the repossessions while he was gone. She advised the female talked to her (Sharp) about writing a book about Mr. Shakespeare and advised that woman told her that she would put her in the book. She advised that she never did do any repossession for them due to something not seeming right.

I then obtained a sworn taped statement from Ms. Sharp. The audio was placed on a compact disc and placed in to the property evidence section of the Polk County Sheriff's Office as Item #6035. Ms. Sharp also turned over the correspondence that she received from the female and Mr. Stitzel. I later placed the correspondence in to the property evidence section of the Polk County Sheriff's Office as Item #6048.

1300 Hours:

I was contacted by Detective David Clark and advised that the parents of Dee Dee Moore had called and wanted to turn some items over to the sheriff's office that had been dropped off by Ms. Moore. I then contacted Detective Greg Thomas and advised him of the information. Detective Thomas advised that a detective from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office would meet me at 5802 Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida, and then accompany me to the parent's residence.

1400 Hours:

I met with Detective Preston Hollis of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at the search warrant location. Detective Hollis and then respoonded to the residence of Ms. Moore's parents.

1415 Hours:

Detective Hollis and I arrived at 8704 Turkey Creek Road in Durant, Florida. Upon arrival, we made contact with Linda and Patrick Donegan.

We then interviewed both subjects separately. The interviews were recorded by Detective Hollis. For details of the interviews, refer to the audio recordings of the interviews. The Donegan's also turned over several items to Detective Hollis that they advised Ms. Donegan had dropped off recently. See Detective Hollis report reference the items turned over.

During the interview with Mr. Donegan he advised that on Monday (01/25/10) Ms. Moore had come to the residence and picked the utility trailer that they had observed on the television that was currently parked at the 5802 Highway 60 in Plant City. He further advised that on that same day, Ms. Moore obtained a .38 Caliber Revolver that she had dropped off to him previously. He described the firearm as the firearm that was turned over to Mr. Smith on 01/25/2010.
