"Dear Gail,

(SNIP)

The man I speak of, who might very well be a killer, is a person I am currently in contact with. You must not share that with another living soul unless I ask you to do so. Collins is making a fool of himself; moreover, of me. I do not want any further leaks. By the way, I never said that much to Collins about this man I speak about to you.

The man I speak of frequents my daughter's grave. A few days ago, he confirmed his visits by describing specific physical surroundings. He made comments like "A rose for JonBenet; A rose for Beth." He also said he liked the new ornaments in the dogwood, describing the dove directly above her grave as his favorite. He went on to describe the long stem flowers that drape her grave horizontally this week. Gail, all those physical descriptions are currently present. He is not lying when he says he has been spending a lot of time with JonBenet.

Let me add, importantly, that he is a very kind and sweet person. He is unbelievably kind to me and expresses his undying love for JonBenet. I have never made comment to him that he might be the killer. I am concerned because he has described her murder with such fluency. He seems to know a little too much. Otherwise, he is a Prince.

Thank you for talking to me about this matter. I would not be telling you this if I did not think you were to be trusted. I also feel that you might relay a very important message that I have tried for months to relay. I request that you not go to the police. This must be done delicately. My mysterious friend will fly if he has any thought that the authorities are involved. After having spoken to me, re-read the warnings in the ransom note. I must not take any chances. Drawing out the killer is important to me; however, preventing any harm to one of my family members is my priority."

Dearest Gail,

I have been contemplating the possibility of responding to my past friend with my thoughts on her latest departure from me. She is convinced that I am insignificant. I told her why I was doing things the way I was doing them. I do not think she read my mail prior to the carrying out of the deed I now regret having instigated.

Why is it that Mr. Tracey refuses to send one sentence to this address? I would love to divulge things to him if he would meet me halfway.

Gail, you will know if you run into my daughter's mysterious visitor. His words are eloquent. He speaks with passion for JonBenet. He would never post to a forum. I have not been able to get him to correspond with anyone here so far. My last friend hesitated to the bitter end until she lost the chance completely to talk to him. I felt confident that he would have actually met her at JonBenet's grave. She never seemed to think he was relevant to anything. All that mattered to her was getting a statement from a confirmed Patricia Ramsey. That was her hige mistake. She made the worse mistake.

Are you aware that I am not at my Vinings home? Where do the Ms. Bennetts of the Internet say I am?

I am tempted to allow you to carry the ultimate message to Mr. Tracey. But, I was recently hurt for releasing just that to a trusted friend who now wishes to discount that I am Patricia Ramsey; hence, wants nothing to do with me anymore. I've been asked to "release her".
And so, I am left with a mysterious man. He described her grave to me exactly as it was on the day of his visit recently. This happened only days ago. He is there. There is no doubt of that. Nobody but you, cares anything about him. Maybe he is the sweet man he claims to be. If so, I am sorry I ever suspected him. He treats me with such respect. I've cried listening to his words describing my daughter. He loves her so much. I am convinced that he was and still is, in love with my little girl. He once told me, "as you pray to your God - I pray to my Goddess, JonBenet." He is totally consumed with her. He carries with him a wealth of information about how she was murdered. What would you perceive from such a combination? And no one will listen to me. How could that be? Gail, I feel so helpless and frustrated. All that matters to anyone is whether I am Patricia Ramsey or not. Why does no one ask more about this man I describe? So far, he has been wonderful to me and my daughter. He adores her, even now. He speaks of his visits as if they were meetings. He loves my child so much.

Patricia

Gail,

JonBenet's grave is quite a distance north of Buckhead. It is in Marietta which requires several miles of driving north on I-75. I could give you specific directions. I would love for you to be able to visit her; however, I still have concern over your meeting him.

I am very glad to hear you say that something must be done here. Just remember your promise of not alerting the police or all will be lost.
I have been talking to him for a year, this month. Patience is something I am obviously practicing. I must unless I want to lose him for good. You must understand that he has not even met me; JonBenet's mother of whom he loves and deeply trusts. I do not know if I could talk him into anything unless it was attached to something extravagant. I have only hinted to him to meet one person on my behalf - He agreed. That occurred once. When that recently fell apart, he was distant for over a week. I was frantic. I thought I had lost him. I must be careful now.

I will think about your offer. Gail, he might be dangerous. The cemetery is very private. There are usually no people anywhere around when I visit. It is difficult if not impossible to see her grave from the roads that surround the graveyard. As you enter the front gates, there is a steep incline as the road leads to her grave, which acts as a visual barrier from the road in the front. The road to the side is farther away from her grave, making it hard to distinguish people from other gravestones. You can see her grave from the side but it is slightly difficult. If he ever sensed that you thought for a second that he is a killer, he might snap and go into a defensive mode. He is also very protective of JonBenet. He does not like visitors who are not family members or friends of the family. On her birthday, he was almost frantic about the things that might be placed on her grave. He hates a lot of "things piled on her grave from strangers", as he puts it. You might not understand this, but I always console him and assure him that the things will be removed as soon as possible until only a few things are left behind. You are not aware of this, but after the initial traffic of visitors leave various things on her grave as a result of special days, the things left are removed. Most of the time, her grave has a limited amount of things on it.

Sometimes, I feel sorry for him. He loves JonBenet so much, even more now than when she was alive. He protects my daughter's grave as if it were a shrine. I suppose some might think that as strange. I feel it is a bit strange but I also see no reason to hurt him in any way based only on his utter worship of my little girl. On the other hand, it is his utter worship of my little girl that concerns me deeply. I ask myself over and over - "Why?". Why is he like he is? Gail, sweetheart, you have not heard him speak directly. His words about JonBenet are unreal - not of this world.

Maybe you are learning more about him as we speak. That is the reason I ask that you read my letters thoroughly. Every word is worthy of your attention. I only wish I could reach a larger audience with these words. I have almost given up on finding a way to do just that.

Hi,
I am sorry that I was not more clear about the visitor to the cemetery.

I will try to clarify and expound a bit about my unsettling experiences.

I have gone to the site numerous times, to remember JonBenet in a personal way. The cemetery is located within my general geographical location, give or take 10-15 miles.

Several times this past spring and summer, there has been a person kneeling on the top of the grave (on the flat marker covering the grave).

This person has some peculiar characteristics....

I observed this person from my car for a short time, and decided not to get out of my vehicle. It probably sounds silly here, but you would have to be there to see the disturbing aspects...

I have heard through the grapevine that there have been other reports similiar to mine... the person had the same physical characteristics and displayed the same behavior (always kneeling on top of the grave).

One person whom I have talked with speculates that the person may be a close relative of Patsy Ramsey's who has been considered by some to be a suspect in the case. I do not know if the person is a local, because the car is not parked within the cemetery grounds. Local or not, family or not, it is a bit unsettling to view.

I have decided not to go to the cemetery alone again.

My comment about the connection to the LHF was in jest, mainly, as I do not know any identity. However, I do want to avoid any upclose and personal exchanges with him.

Darn and drat!!!

I tried very hard to leave the personal pronoun out of my post, but I see where I used the masculine.

Yes, it very well could be PaughPaugh.

I have not taken any photos, but have compared the photos of Paugh with the appearance of the man. Everything fits,
but the man is always wearing a cap..Neatly dressed, but wearing a cap.

Since it does not fit the rest of his appearance, I believe it might be worn as an attempted disguise.

Has anyone else seen a man fitting this description at the cemetery? If so, please EMail me.

CandyRose,

I suppose it was a combination of the following:

1) No mode of transportation on the premises, which is unusual during the day because there are so many cars parked on the side streets (H.S. staff) and none within the cemetery grounds. It is a lot easier to park on the cemetery grounds, in other words.Does someone drop him off and come back for him or is he leaving his vehicle somewhere else, and if so, why?

2) He is the ONLY person I have ever seen kneeling for periods of time on the flat part of the marker. I don't mean just as if in a brief prayer, but staying in that position. As we all know, there is a bench just beside the grave, and several just across from it.

3) I go there less often now, because of him, but every time I drive onto the grounds, he is there.
I would estimate that I saw him over 8 times in a 6 week period.

4)One single red rose with the thorns stripped off was lying on the gravesite after he left on 3 separate occasions.
I left and went to the Square for the period of time that he was in the cemetery.)It was not wilted in the sun, but I do not know for certain that he left it.

5)He is always alone.

6)I have never seen him around Beth Ramsey's grave, which, as you know, is next to JonBenet's.

7)He has stayed on the grave for over two hours at a time. I know, because I got really weirded out after doing some shopping and then driving back by and still seeing him there.

All in all, there is just a weird feeling about the man's continued presence. I wonder if he is a family member, a friend of the family, an Internet fan, or some kind of perverted person.

When I visit, I sit quietly but openly on the bench under the tree. My face is not hidden from view, and I have never stayed over 10-15 minutes.

Am I wrong to think that this man is odd?

Gail,

I am so disappointed that some person is posting information, concerning a visitor at the gravesite, on some forum. This might stand to weaken my stance. I knew there would be a leak. My mysterious friend does not fit much of that description; however, I am open to any accounts. I do know that he drives his car right beside her grave. He has told me that. I also know that he sits on the bench beside her. The only thing that made any sense in what the poster said concerned the part where it was stated that he bends down beside her grave. He does bend beside her. He touches her gravestone quite a bit on his visits. If this poster had seen my mysterious contact, she would not forget it.

I talked to JonBenet's mysterious friend recently. I will translate what he said to me. He said, "I saw one of my closest young friends today. She reminds me much of our little JonBenet. I see her infrequently. Being with her was a special event. She speaks with similar intelligence as did our JonBenet. She too is spontaneous and vivacious. She is extremely attractive as was our JonBenet." I found his words interesting, telling - chilling.

As you might know, today was hectic for me. I hope to talk to you as I await Mr. Tracey's response. Gail, there is such an urgency in this matter. It is difficult to wait. I don't think I should have to.

Patricia

Dear Patti,

(SNIP)

I did not know if you had heard of the recent threats we have received. What can a mother say about such a horrible and sick attack on my helpless child's gravestone. I would not imagine anything like this has ever happened to another mother's baby's grave. Patti, you know that her mysterious friend would never do anything to hurt her grave. To him, that is hallowed ground. It would make no sense as he is avidly, and has always been, on our family's side. He responded violently to the attack on her gravestone, making the comment, "Thank God her precious stone was not permanently scarred." Of course, there is some activity around the graveyard which is not conducive to his visits, I would imagine. I would probably be wise to be more afraid of the madman who did this to my child's gravestone than I am of JonBenet's killer. Why would any person do such a horrible thing? Please help me understand that? The gates of the graveyard are supposed to be locked before dark each night. I do not expect them to be locked any other time.

I am safe tonight. Thank you for worrying about me. I am sorry I was not able to talk to you sooner. I knew you would worry if I told you about the threats we have received. I should have known this would make the news. Please stay in touch.

Patricia

CHAIN OF EVENTS 2000

[Death of Innocence]2000-03-18: “Death of Innocence”
Written by John and Patsy Ramsey, March 18, 2000

DOI Page 311

"One of the e-mail communiqués described a letter from a man, which was supposedly sent to Patsy's parents' home at the time the grand jury convened for the first time. "Patricia" said that in his letter this man........... wrote with the promise that he could tell me all about the murderer. He described the killer as a person who is obsessed with little girls fitting JonBenet's description; a person with a definite preference, In a twisted way, he falls in love with his victims. It is debatable what he considers love, but it can be certain; he becomes obsesses with young victims. This person possibly stalked JonBenet for some time prior to making his final move. He is a pedophile, but his sickness runs deeper. He slowly becomes consumed with bringing his young victim as close to death as possible, without actually killing her, until she ultimately dies in his arms; becoming his perfect possession forever.

In great depth, the writer of the letter described a bizarre sexually deviant practice he said he had researched for several years, among other things, including pedophilia. He described individuals who torture their victims to near death through various methods, one known as erotic asphyxiation. He believes that JonBenet's killer was a cross between a pedophile and a person who is sexually aroused by bringing his victim to the point of death, or asphyxiation and other forms of deviant sexual torture.

The "man" whom Patricia claimed sent the letter was, I suspect, "Patricia." This person's description of the killer and the crime was sickening to us, but it was plausible.

In another "Patricia letter" sent on Saturday, July 17, 1999, the writer, claiming to be Patsy, says of JonBenet's killer, "He is not bound by my attorneys....He has no family that would think evil of him to kill another little girl like JonBenet."

While the letters had a chilling, soap opera sound, the undertone was threatening. We seriously wondered if this person could be the killer, a schizophrenic who was teasing us with his clues. We couldn't find out without the intervention of the police or some other government agency with the legal power to subpoena subscriber information from the Internet service providers. We don't know if the BPD ever followed up on this lead, but all this information was turned over to them."

CHAIN OF EVENTS 2004

[Forums For Justice]2004-01-14: The Bonita Papers-1999 (Stranger at the Grave)
From a poster known as "Spade" on the www.forumsforjustice.org forum posted information regarding a person known as "Bonita." Spade wrote: "These are the unedited "notes" of Bonita Sauer, secretary/para-legal to Dan Hoffman. Bonita intended to write a book from the case documents provided to her boss. But Bonita's notes were sold to the tabs by her nephew. Larry Pozner is a partner in the same law firm. I hope he reads his secretary's notes about this case before he runs his mouth about the Ramsey's. (Again) This is a long file, so I suggest copying to your own computer and printing it out. I have checked the important case info and find it accurate, however there is some BS. Please post your questions." On another postings, Spade wrote, "Bonita is the 1st name of the legal secretary who wrote up the Boulder Police reports, mailed them to her nephew in Oregon who in turn double-dealt them to two tabs for $70,000. Bonita had access to all the BPD reports. Keep in mind that Bonita wrote-up her info in 1999"

"On March 27, 1999, Pam Paugh called the Boulder police to report a suspicious man at JonBenet's gravesite. Det. Harmer was given the assignment of returning Pam's call. When the phone rang at the number left by Pam, it was answered by Patsy. Patsy explained to Harmer that Polly was actually the one who saw the suspicious man, but Polly had just had surgery and Patsy was babysitting her nephew. Polly had talked with the man at the cemetery and the evening before her surgery and he told her that JonBenet reminded him of a former neighbor girl."
