Vigil Walk
For Stacy and Kathleen Savio
ILL "About 200 people, 50 members of the media and two black dogs made the walk Saturday evening from the residence of the late Kathleen Savio to Stacy Peterson;s house. Friends and relatives arranged the candlelight vigil which covered the two blocks separating the residences of Drew Peterson's third and fourth wives." - "Some at the rally made signs which read, "2 Beautiful Women plus 1 worthy cause = justice"; "No one is above the law" and "Watch out. We're P.M.S.-ing. Grrr!" Bolingbrook police officers stopped traffic to allow the vigil past the intersection of Lilly Cache Lane. Some neighbors watched from their windows while others came out and joined the procession as it passed by. When the vigil reached Stacy and Drew Peterson's house, marchers who had been carrying signs set them on the front porch."

Vigil for Stacy, Lisa and Kathleen
ILL "More than 200 volunteers came to search for Stacy on Saturday [meeting starting at 9 a.m. at Westbrook Christian Church, 1175 Lily Cache Lane, in Bolingbrook] despite high winds and freezing temperatures, according to Lisa Stebic's family representatives. The search was held in Romeoville near the Sanitary and Ship Canal. The turnout in suburban Romeoville was the biggest so far. A prayer vigil [4 p.m] marking the one-month anniversary of Stacy Peterson's disappearance was still held Saturday afternoon in Bolingbrook, according to Stebic family representatives. "His face recently appeared on a piñata -- just begging someone to beat it with a stick." ILL [Peterson Pinata]"His face recently appeared on a piñata -- just begging someone to beat it with a stick -- and the former Bolingbrook police sergeant says his fellow officers have been shunning him. Drew Peterson says his friends are scattering now that he's the focus of the investigation Stacy Peterson's disappearance and possible homicide." - "The piñata appeared Saturday at a prayer vigil for Stacy, who has not been seen since she vanished Oct. 28. "It's like they had this vigil for Stacy, and the next thing you know there's a piñata with my face on it," Peterson told the Chicago Tribune on Thursday. "All these policemen who were my friends, and I would have jumped in front of a bullet for, don't even talk to me." Peterson has not participated in any searches since Stacy disappeared and has contended she ran off with another man."

Vigil Incidents ILL "About 6:45 p.m., Bolingbrook police responded to a call of an unconscious man at the vigil. When they arrived, they found a neighbor lying on the pavement. The man, who smelled of alcohol, was revived within minutes and told police he was "upset by the fact that his street had been taken over by media personnel, a large tent and subjects assisting with the missing persons case."

Money to run over vigil tent? ILL "The neighbor's son and a number of other witnesses told officers the man had been using vulgar language and when the son tried to calm him down, the man repeatedly butted the son with his chest and stomach until the man lost his balance. Witnesses, including a Bolingbrook public works snowplow driver, told police the man offered to give the snowplow driver money to run over a tent set up in the street for the prayer vigil, the report states."

ILL "Relatives of missing suburban moms Stacy Peterson and Lisa Stebic pledged Monday to work with other suburban families searching for missing loved ones. Their joint efforts will help keep public interest and police investigations focused, even on missing persons cases that lack the high profile of the baffling disappearances of Peterson and Stebic, relatives said." - "Together, we all will continue to look for our loved ones,'' said Susan Olsen, whose 26-year-old son, Bradley Olsen, vanished last Jan. 19 in DeKalb. Along with Olsen, relatives of two other missing suburban men, John Spira and Scott Acaro, joined the effort, announced at a news conference outside the Bolingbrook home where 23-year-old Stacy Peterson was last seen on Oct. 28.

Kerry Simmons:
"Our lives will never be back to normal until we find Stacy and bring her home."
ILL "About 200 people gathered at a Bolingbrook church Sunday to share their favorite stories and memories in recognition of the missing mother’s 24th birthday." - "Peterson’s aunt, Candice Aikin, flew all the way from southern California to attend the birthday party. She recalled Peterson’s last birthday, which they spent together in California, her vivacity for life and her belief that she will one day be reunited with her niece." - "Bolingbrook Police Chief Ray McGury, who attended the birthday vigil, declined to comment on the investigation but said he believes Stacy Peterson’s family will find the answers they are searching for. “There’s no timetable but I’m confident there will be resolution. Based upon what I’ve seen and what I’ve heard, I’m confident there will be some resolution down the road,” McGury said."
