Vigil for Stacy, Lisa and Kathleen
ILL "More than 200 volunteers came to search for Stacy on Saturday [meeting starting at 9 a.m. at Westbrook Christian Church, 1175 Lily Cache Lane, in Bolingbrook] despite high winds and freezing temperatures, according to Lisa Stebic's family representatives. The search was held in Romeoville near the Sanitary and Ship Canal. The turnout in suburban Romeoville was the biggest so far. A prayer vigil [4 p.m] marking the one-month anniversary of Stacy Peterson's disappearance was still held Saturday afternoon in Bolingbrook, according to Stebic family representatives. The vigil was also for Stebic and Peterson's previous wife Kathleen Savio"

Vigil Incidents ILL "About 6:45 p.m., Bolingbrook police responded to a call of an unconscious man at the vigil. When they arrived, they found a neighbor lying on the pavement. The man, who smelled of alcohol, was revived within minutes and told police he was "upset by the fact that his street had been taken over by media personnel, a large tent and subjects assisting with the missing persons case."

ILL 12/03/2007 Pamela Jones (cbs2chicago.com) Reporting (VIDEO):
"Today North Aurora Police dispatched the villages fire department to retrieve a blue barrel from the Fox River. Illinois State Police won't comment on the discovery. A spokesperson for Stacy's family says they're grateful for each bit of new information that comes out. They're waiting to hear about a Surveillence video Illinois State Police took from this Krispy Kreme. Video we're told may be captureed around the time Stacy disappeared. And now Stacy Peterson's family hopes truck drivers can help them solve the case. They say Illinois State Police told them two truck drivers say they were approached by a man that looked like Drew Peterson back in October and that that those men asked him to haul a package and they declined."

Illinois law can convict on circumstantial evidence ILL "In Illinois, investigators don't need a body to charge someone with murder, and can instead rely on circumstantial evidence to back such charges. Fuhrman goes over some times that he feels are important ILL MARK FUHRMAN, FMR LAPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE, FOX ANALYST: Start with the beginning. And there's certain segments that I find the most important. About 10:00, 10:15, the call that comes in that Stacy is last talked to, the call that Sharon, the neighbor, puts in to talk to Stacy, she is not available. So between that time is either a time when she's incapacitated, she's not able to get to the phone because she's under the control of Drew Peterson, or she is by then deceased. The next two most important calls are the call at 8:00 o'clock that Drew Peterson says that he puts in to Stacy's cell phone, which — I believe that Thomas Morphey is with him at that time, and he probably witnessed that because that would fit in with Drew believing she's alive and just missing or not at home. And then, of course, the 9:00 o'clock call that evening that Thomas Morphey sees come up on the cell phone that he's told not to answer. The next huge time is 11:00 o'clock that night, when Cassandra comes to the home. No Drew Peterson. No Pontiac. No Denali.

Fuhrman says Peterson's first lie was telling Sharon that Stacy was at her Grandpas ILL MARK FUHRMAN, FMR LAPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE, FOX ANALYST: Well, in this phone call, Sharon calls, and one of the children, Chris, answers the phone. He's 13 years old. He answers the phone. Sharon says, Can I talk to your mom? Long pause. And Sharon has described this to me as a very uneasy pause. She follows up because he doesn't say anything, You don't know if your mom's there? And at that time, Drew takes the phone and tells Sharon Stacy went to her grandfather's to run some errands. Well, we know that's not true. That's lie one. Drew Peterson has committed himself to a lie that needed to be told because he didn't expect Sharon to call. He didn't expect somebody to call for Stacy. And then he committed to something that he can never erase now. Now, that's the first time.

But Peterson tells Newsradio 780 this morning, "It is what it is." Drew Peterson tells Newsradio 780 - "My retirement sucks." - "Why do you think?" Peterson asks. "The media in front of my house, it's not enabling my children to be children," he says. Peterson is now getting the word that his police pension is less than what he may have originally believed. And he may get about 200 dollars less per month. About 58-hundred dollars compared to 6-thousand. Instead of 30 years service, Peterson only has just over 29 years."

ILL MARK FUHRMAN, FORMER LAPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE: Greta, listen to the evidence. Drew Peterson actually laid down his own evidence. He is very cell phone-wise. He knows about triangulating a cell phone call. He does this with Thomas Morphey. He makes sure that that cell phone is there in front of him, so he can document through a witness and through electronic corroboration when that came in and where it came from. Now, he did that on purpose because he knows that will come back. Now, did he do the same thing when he drove to six, seven, eight locations that night, made a phone call so his phone would be triangulated to that location, which they've already said stimulates the search in certain areas?"

And that was the only physical altercation I had had with him. But it was very scary to me because I had never had anyone treat me that way. And you know, he did hurt me. I did eventually get up. I went home. My stepdad was the only one there, and I explained to him what had happened. And he told me, he said, You need to call the police. And being naive, I thought, Well, I don't have a bruise. You know, I don't have a mark. And he convinced me otherwise, that that still was battery and I needed to call the police. No one was close to being hurt.]" - "But Cales said that's not what her sister determined after she examined the bullet hole in the garage floor." PUCCINELLI: "And how close was she to getting hit?" CASSANDRA: "It was probably about a foot behind where she was standing." PUCCINELLI: "Cales said she's talking about the incident because she's hoping it will effect the investigation on whether the retired Sgt. gets to keep his $6,000 a month pension. Peterson's former neighbor, Steve Carcerano said Drew Peterson told him it was actually Stacy Peterson who fired the weapon. Illinois State Police are investigating. Bolingbrook Police say departmental rules require that officers report any discharge of a weapon whether or not they are on duty at the time. No report was filed in this case."

Pastor Schori excused from grand jury duty when Savio case came up ILL 12/12/2007 (www.suntimes.com) "Could you give Drew a few bucks? "
"Meanwhile, a Naperville pastor who spoke privately with Stacy Peterson just weeks before she vanished said that, in an eerie coincidence, he briefly served on a recent Will County grand jury convened to reexamine the 2004 death of Drew Peterson's previous wife, Kathleen Savio. "It [Savio's case] came up at the very end of my 13 weeks on the grand jury," pastor Neil Schori told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren Tuesday night. "I got myself out of there. ... I recused myself and said I can't" participate because of the pastoral relationship he had with Drew and Stacy Peterson."
"Savio's death was originally ruled an accidental drowning, but authorities now believe it may have been a homicide. In August, Stacy Peterson confided to Schori that her husband had claimed to have killed his previous wife, sources have told the Sun-Times."

Judge Rozak says he'll decide gun issue on Monday 12/17/07 ILL 12/12/2007 (Chicago Tribune) "Peterson says wife shot gun"
"A Will County Circuit Court judge said today that he will decide Monday whether to grant Drew Peterson's request to have his two vehicles, 11 firearms and other items seized by police returned to him. At a 20-minute hearing, Presiding Judge Daniel Rozak listened to arguments from the defense and prosecution before saying he would study case law before rendering a verdict. Defense attorney John Carroll, who has joined Joel Brodsky in representing Peterson, a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, told Rozak that police have had sufficient time to analyze the seized property and that authorities are withholding the items to vex Peterson."

Brodsky says Stacy was embarrassed to reported gun incident ILL JOEL BRODSKY, ATTORNEY FOR DREW PETERSON: Well, first of all, after speaking to Drew, what really happened was this. Drew bought Stacy a Glock, a .9-millimeter Glock, as a present. Stacy used to like to handle the gun from time to time. She was up in the bedroom handling the gun and it actually discharged, striking the floor. She was embarrassed. Nobody called the police because she was embarrassed. She was -- and so that`s what really happened. But more than that.

I need to know, did Drew, was he trying to teach Stacy at that point how to shoot a gun in the house with children around? Or do the guns just lying around where Stacy actually had that gun in her hand and she accidentally shot it off? Where is the common sense behind that statement? And I`d want to know why a police officer, and Drew, who knew the were children were in the house, would actually allow his wife -- and Stacy, being the mother as we know her, would play with a gun in the house with children around -- that is beyond reason. It is beyond belief.

Greta's followup on Pastor Schori was that Peterson told Stacy the "very night" he killed Kathleen ILL MARK FUHRMAN, FORMER LAPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE: Greta I'll start at the beginning. We have to take ourselves back to February 29, 2004, that Sunday night into the early morning hours of March 1st, that was a Monday. Now Kathleen Savio was found Monday night at 11:17 p.m. almost midnight. Just prior to that we heard on Monday [12/10/2007], we heard Pastor Schori tell you that Stacy actually confided in him that Drew Peterson had actually confessed that he killed Kathleen and of course you followed up then and he said Stacy told him that very night [Sunday 02/29/2004 - Monday 03/01/2004]. Now I've got sources that later in the week we found out she woke up in the middle of the night and there were numerous times she tried to find Drew in the house and she couldn't find him. She yelled out for him, she called him on the cell phone numerous times, described in almost excessively, he never answered. Where was Drew?"

Stacy found him in basement dressed in black putting his clothes in washer. He also had bag of woman's cothing. ILL MARK FUHRMAN, FORMER LAPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE: "I believe it's absolutely corroborated that Stacy told Pastor Schori that day [August 2007] that in that time when she finally found Drew in the house [03/01/2004], she heard him, he was downstairs by the washing machine, she saw him, he was standing there in all black, stripping down and putting his clothes into the washing machine. He also had a bag in his hand that he emptied that was woman's clothes and he looks at her and he starts telling her, explaining to her in several hours the police are going to be here and they are going to ask a lot of questions and I'm going to tell you what to say. It will be a perfect crime." - "We know several things about her [Kathleen], she didn't wear jewelry in the bathtub, she didn't wear it in the shower and she didn't wear it swimming because she felt she had a reaction on her skin when it was wet. She didn't have her hair down.

Missing nightstand theories ILL Posted on www.websleuths.com, thread titled, 'Kathleen Savio's death #2", 12/15/2007 08:49 AM by "DeltaDawn" Join Date: Jul 2007, Posts: 1,342, Quote, "Interesting that Drew took the nightstands and bed from Kathleen's house and now one of the nightstands is missing. Could it be that nightstand wasn't part of Stacy's murder but had been part of Kathleen's? And maybe the cadaver dog hitting on the death scent in Drew and Stacy's bedroom was actually picking up the scent from Kathleen's death..maybe the dog hit where the nightstand should have been."
