Stacy called the brother of her former boyfriend of six years ago ILL "All of a sudden she [Stacy] called me [Scott Rossetto] once out of the blue about three weeks before she disappeared," Rossetto said. "That was the first contact in six years I had with her. She said she was just going through some stuff and just found my phone number. The two exchanged messages, but never made plans to meet, he said. "We were friends," Rossetto said. "We talked every once in a while. But that's it." Police tracked down Rossetto through phone and text messages"

Rossetto flirted with Stacy ILL "A Shorewood man [Scott Rossetto] admitted this afternoon he exchanged “somewhat flirty” text messages with Stacy Peterson in the weeks before she disappeared, but insisted he never had a sexual affair with the missing Bolingbrook woman. Scott Rossetto told reporters he flirted with Stacy and even met with her at a Denny’s — where Stacy’s husband Drew Peterson found them." - "He initially said he never met with her, but changed his story this afternoon [11/21/2007] after testifying before a Will County grand jury looking into the case."

Rossetto text messaged with Stacy every day ILL "[Scott] Rossetto, a registered nurse, said he and Stacy talked and exchanged text messages every day after she abruptly reached out to him. Some of the conversations were about nursing — which Stacy was studying. Some of the messages, though, were more racy if taken out of context by Drew Peterson."

Stacy met Scott Rossetto at Denny's Restaurant
ILL "Stacy Peterson had told her husband she planned to meet [Scott] Rossetto [35-year-old registered nurse from Shorewood] at the Denny's, Rossetto said. Drew Peterson told her not to go, and when she defied him, Drew Peterson showed up at the restaurant in his Bolingbrook police sergeant's uniform and sat down at their table. He didn't rant or rave. He was "quiet mostly," Rossetto said." - "he [Scott] said they met at Denny's at about 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. That's when Drew Peterson arrived, staying for about 15 minutes. They showed photos of Drew and Stacy Peterson’s SUV and sedan and asked Rossetto’s neighbors if they had seen the vehicles recently. Investigators were also in the neighborhood earlier in the month, showing Stacy’s photo, neighbors said."

"speculated that Peterson's body may have been dumped near Rossetto's home in an effort to frame him as the killer"
ILL "Investigators in the disappearance of Stacy Peterson have turned an eye to a Shorewood man from her past she reached out to just three weeks before she vanished. Searches have been conducted in the area around the home of 35-year-old Scott Rossetto, and authorities have called him before a grand jury this week, he said. A police source, however, said investigators do not count him as a suspect in Peterson's disappearance. Instead, the source said investigators have speculated that Peterson's body may have been dumped near Rossetto's home in an effort to frame him as the killer. A police source said Rossetto and Peterson, 23, were romantically involved, but Rossetto insisted they were not. He said he only knew her because his brother and a friend had dated Peterson years ago, before she married former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson. Rossetto said he had not heard from Stacy Peterson in years when she called him last month. "All of a sudden she called me once out of the blue about three weeks before she disappeared," Rossetto said. "That was the first contact in six years I had with her. She said she was just going through some stuff and just found my phone number."

"Why would I be afraid of Drew? What is he going to possibly do to me? He's more than welcome to try busting into my house." ILL "The suspicions swirling around Drew Peterson, 53, have not frightened Rossetto. "Let him [try to get me]. I don't give a crap," Rossetto said. "Why would I be afraid of Drew? What is he going to possibly do to me? He's more than welcome to try busting into my house." Rossetto said he was not tempted to indulge in an affair with Stacy Peterson. "No. I didn't want any baggage," he said. "Sorry, she had a lot. She was married to a Bolingbrook cop and could've made my life miserable. I wasn't risking it. And I knew Drew well enough to know to stay away from her." Rossetto said he didn't know that police are looking at him as a lover of Stacy Peterson's. "I'm sure Drew probably thinks that, but I could care less about what Drew thinks," he said. Drew Peterson said Friday he knows little about Rossetto -- but he knows of him. "I heard of him," Drew Peterson said, but added that he had "no idea" how long the Shorewood man may have been involved with his wife."

Asking if Peterson vehichles seen in Rossetto neighborhood ILL "On Saturday [11/17/2007], State police investigators canvassed Rossetto's neighborhood, going door-to-door for blocks to show residents photos of Drew and Stacy Peterson's SUV and sedan. "They were asking if we had seen one of the two Peterson cars," said neighbor Barb McDaniel. "I told them 'no.' " - "Investigators did the same thing Friday night, neighbors said, and had been out in the same Walnut Trails subdivision about two weeks ago, circulating a photo of Stacy Peterson and asking neighbors if they had seen her recently."

Grand Jury Testifing
Rossetto:
"I really, really hope she's OK. But common sense says she's not."
ILL "Scott Rossetto testified Wednesday before a grand jury investigating the case. As CBS 2 West Suburban Bureau Chief Mike Puccinelli reports, it was the third time Rossetto was called before a grand jury to testify about what he knows about Stacy's disappearance more than three weeks ago. The first two times he did not take the stand, but this time he did." - "Rossetto's brother dated Stacy Peterson six years ago, before she met and married Drew Peterson. Three and a half weeks before she disappeared, Stacy contacted Rossetto and they began communicating regularly. But Rossetto says he was not romantically linked with Stacy. When asked if he feared that Drew Peterson might have hurt Stacy Peterson, Rossetto said he could not say, but also admitted that his gut says something is wrong. "To tell you the truth I don't even know if I should refer to her to her in the past and present tense. It's kind of aggravating," Rossetto said. "I really, really hope she's OK. But common sense says she's not."

Rossetto admits he met Stacy on 10/19/2007 9:30 PM at Denny's Restaurant ILL "He {Drew Peterson] asked me how I'd react if my wife was with another man," Scott Rossetto said Wednesday after testifying before a Will County grand jury looking into Stacy Peterson's disappearance. Stacy Peterson had told her husband she planned to meet {Scott] Rossetto at the Denny's, Rossetto said. Drew Peterson told her not to go, and when she defied him, Drew Peterson showed up at the restaurant in his Bolingbrook police sergeant's uniform and sat down at their table. He didn't rant or rave. He was "quiet mostly," Rossetto said. The 35-year-old registered nurse from Shorewood denies having an affair with Stacy Peterson but acknowledges he traded racy text messages and e-mails with her. "Some of the messages were quite perverted and flirty in nature, but they were all meant in fun," Rossetto said. "[Was I] Interested in dating? No. Flirting? Yes." But police sources dispute that. A source characterized Rossetto as her ''boyfriend.'' The source said the messages were indeed "very sexually explicit," and appear to show them talking about sexual encounters they shared and asking if the other enjoyed it."

"Keith Rossetto said he hung around with Stacy while she worked the late shift at SpringHill Suites motel on Remington Boulevard. They generally talked and smoked cigarettes" ILL 11/22/2007 "TWINS DENY DATING A MISSING MOM, BUT SAID THEY 'FLIRTED' WITH HER"
"Twin brothers testified to a grand jury about missing mom Stacy Peterson and one told of trading "perverted and flirty" text messages with the young woman. Both twins -- male nurses Scott and Keith Rossetto -- denied any romantic entanglement with the 23-year-old Peterson, though Scott accused his brother of dating her for months and admitted himself to sending her lascivious messages."
"Twin brother Keith, who Scott said dated Stacy for more than two months before joining the Army two days before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, denied having a romantic liaison with the then 17-year-old. "We were kind of in the getting-to-know-you phase," Keith Rossetto said of his relationship with Stacy. Keith Rossetto was at a loss as to why he was called before the grand jury. "I honestly don't know," he said. "It was probably more of a character witness. They asked me what I knew of Drew, what I knew of her."
"Keith Rossetto said he was no fan of Drew Peterson, who struck up his relationship with Stacy soon after Keith left for the Army. "I didn't like him, I can tell you that," he said of the former cop who was 47 when he got engaged to the 17-year-old Stacy. "It was like he was trying to impress me that he was a Bolingbrook cop and he was on a special team or whatever," Keith Rossetto said. Keith Rossetto said he hung around with Stacy while she worked the late shift at SpringHill Suites motel on Remington Boulevard. They generally talked and smoked cigarettes, he said.
It was at the motel that he met Drew Peterson, who he said stopped in while on duty and chatted up the teenage desk clerk."

The source believes this was an attempt by Peterson to place the focus of the police investigation on Stacy's friend. They said that at her sister Tina's funeral in 2006, as Stacy walked with her late sister's husband, Drew asked her if she was sleeping with him. And Stacy's friend Scott Rossetto said he, Stacy and a group of friends were having dinner at a restaurant Oct. 19 when Drew, who was still a Bolingbrook police sergeant, showed up unannounced and asked Rossetto how he would feel if his wife "went off with another guy"

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN: Pam, what do you think about this news about the message?
PAM BOSCO: "As I've said before, with all the other anonymous tips they've brought forward, there's not much LE can do with this information since the message came from a public domain site.
There is no information that Stacy Peterson was having an affair of any kind. Illinois State Police does not believe that Stacy Peterson had an affair either. Illinois State Police has cleared Scott Rosetto of all suspicion. I have not spoken with anyone in the family at all, but Cassandra Cales has. Cassandra Cales has spoken with the kids, but nothing in depth with Drew Peterson. The family speaks with Illinois State Police regularly and know that they are going full speed ahead. We can't say what will happen in time, we don't know what they will bring forth. We just have to be patient. Thomas Morphey is with Illinois State Police in custody and he is somewhere with them. I understand no one is allowed to speak to him."

"Legal Pub has been granted an exclusive interview with Attorney, Joel A. Brodsky, an excellent criminal defense attorney. Joel is a partner with Brodsky & Odeh located at 8 S. Michigan Ave., Ste. 3200 in Chicago, Illinois. Joel's recent publicity has come as being the lead defense attorney for Drew Peterson. Joel has, in our observation, been treated unfairly by the Nancy Grace Show by interrupting him without allowing him to fully answer questions. Joel took the time on 4-30-08 to answer the following exclusive Legal Pub Questions:"
Legal Pub: John Darwin was missing for several years and presumed dead. He turned up alive having assumed another identity. Is Drew still confident that she ran off with another man? - Joel: Yes he is. That’s what Stacy told him. - Legal Pub: Did Drew know the man whom she thinks Stacy ran off with? - Joel: He doesn’t know who she ran off with, so he doesn’t know if he ever met the person or not. - Legal Pub: What made Drew suspect that Stacy was seeing someone else? - Joel: After she ran off we discovered racy (very sexual) text messages on Stacy’s old cell phone. Also, the State Police also disclosed that they discovered a sexual e-mail on another cell phone which Stacy had from yet another man. However, prior to Stacy leaving Drew did not suspect that there was another man. The text messages discovered after she left came as a shock to him.
